Be warned, the multiplayer is dead. Despite this it has got a great campaign which has unique objectives per mission with a great story, instead of being a "sequence of skirmish matches." The Devs also made an amazing decision to make all the ranked multiplayer achievements doable single player by playing skirmish matches against the higher AI difficultys. I would recommend waiting for a sale (often -75% sale every couple months), definitely worth getting, even if you are inexperienced with RTS games. in ~16 hours I was able to beat the campaign, and get 100% achievements, The rest of my playtime was spent playing skirmish matches.

First of all I do recommend this game because I love RTS genre and we are currently developing a hack'n'slash RTS with gamepad support. What I liked: I played the game on Steam Deck, and it plays great. As intended. I did not try multiplayer, what has to be the strongest side of the game, as I saw in the reviews. Though they say multiplayer is dead so take You friends to enjoy Many complain about the controls and I cannot agree with them - it plays as intended on gamepad. If You would like to try what is RTS on Your Steam Deck - You are welcome. Game is polished. Just play it and You will see how much love was put into this peace of Art! A matter of Taste: Lore is mega weird :D I totally dont appreciate it, would feel much better if it would be more like human vs zerg Just dont understand that indie vibe, I play warcraft or starcraft For me it feels like game for kids with marxist Rats Game sessions looks to be quite short, about 10 minutes which maybe is Ok Dont do cybersport like multiplayer, because that would force You to balance all the races and that would lead to less fun gameplay. And just dont do cybersport unless You are big corpo. Look at what happened to Stormgate In my opinion the authors should have focused on Singleplayer, rather then creating another RTS with dead multiplayer Cons: Gameplay feels like Eunuch-RTS for kids - it lacks of deepness. Just very basic mechanic, a few units types but... Vampire Survivors is also a simple game and much more interesting! Deeper! Warcraft 2 from 1996 had much more interesting missions and more variety of units! Without any scriptings! Campaign is short. Looks I've finished it in 1.6 hours. Campaign UI is also mega weird and unclear, maybe i have missed something and there are more missions?

Great! An absolute gem of a game! I like its fast-paced mechanics, character design, and voice acting; because of this, they all feel alive when fighting; however, this game has a unique cursor and an absurdly difficult campaign.

Deceptively simple. If you bring depth of strategy to this game, you will find it delivers depth of strategy. It feels a bit more like chess at times, since a lot of effective moves are "Material gains". It's impossible to fully protect your units in most cases, but they respawn quickly. So instead, it's about keeping your unit count above that of your opponent, and using your superior firepower to find new strategic footholds. This game holds up, and on controller is very fun. I only wish I had it on my Switch!
