Touhou Blooming Chaos 2 is quite a chaotic Touhou fangame It's a pretty solid Roguelike game that stars the cast of Touhou. The game is pretty diverse in the amount of characters you can play as that being 33 (12 from base, and 21 from DLC) The story is pretty lighthearted staring the Nineball fairy Cirno and her journey in a dungeon that spans cross different locations from Gensokyo to solve the mystery behind this incident and these weird stones she gets by defeating some recognizable characters from the series. The gameplay is quite diverse and it always depends on the different characters you play as with their different playstyles, there's a handful of different items and clothing pieces that are useful when you play through the game and These can also be exchanged in the hub world for some nifty things to unlock the base characters and their colors. The Music is very beautiful to listen to, it takes arrangements from the games and the CD albums to fit them in a Rougelike game that is best fitted to where they are used in game. There's also different Game modes you can play that divert from the story entirely depending if you have enemy (silver) or boss (Gold) coins from when you collect them during gameplay and the difficulty for those range from pretty easy to expertly hard. Aside from that this game isn't entirely perfect, There's a few bugs in the game that can occur but are pretty rare to encounter like unintentionally selling an important item and being unable to interact with the inventory and attributes, these can be worked around even if it's a bit annoying. There's also information that the game quizzes you on regarding the characters ages to win items but the info on some of the characters are wrong and may require you to mentally remember the "Correct" answer just to win said items. But Overall I'd say that this game is pretty fun for the time I've had playing it! I've gotten all of the achievements for the game and the majority of the characters I played as are very fun to play as they spice up my experience with it almost everytime. I'd say give this game a shot If you are a fan of Touhou and/or Rougelike games in general.

It can feel a bit off to get into, and the english translation is a bit iffy, but it's a fun game to pass the time. I love the portrait art especially, they've done a good job at adding outfit details without them feeling excessive.

Great game. Plays well on SteamDeck. But the menu is weird, if you cut out tons of grinding, you'd have about 10 hours worth of content, which is acceptable for the discounted price. DLCs ​​are useless. Buy them only if they include your favorite character. By the time you're leveling up one character, all the content will be gone, and all that's left is grinding, grinding, and then some more grinding.
