Step 1: Uninstall uPlay and install the latest Ubisoft app from their website. Step 2: Play the most fun Trackmania game. Step 3: Accept the dissappointing reality that there are almost no players online and face the difficult decision of what TM game you actually want to sink your time into. Such a fun game, super slick and has its own character among TM games. Heaps of players online in the PS4 version, its a crying shame there aren't more online on the PC version.
This game's alright. It's more like a party-game multiplayer version of Trackmania. There's not much to do in this one compared to the Maniaplanet titles or Trackmania 2020, since there's no community support in the sense that you can add custom objects to your custom tracks. It's like Trackmania United Forever. What you see is what you get, and that's mostly it. It's no joke that the single player campaign is super hard. If you like hard games, then this one could be for you. And the online multiplayer is pretty much dead. You'll find a few active public lobbies here and there, but there might not be a whole bunch of people in it. The game's difficult and (mostly) dead, that's what this sums up to. It's mostly a couch co-op and single player game now. Also, you can install the Openplanet plugin here if you want to. It's made by the community, and you can use it to install plugins to make the game clearer to understand, like having dashboard to see how your tires are affected by dirt surfaces and whatnot. Doesn't let you import custom blocks, though :(
