Preface: I have played Transport Fever 1 and about 100 hours of Transport Fever 2 at time of writing this. For those who enjoy city management games and logistics simulators, this game is right up your ally. You can build and manage Planes, Trains, and Automobiles across a variety of map sizes and 3 different Geographic locations. You can create roads and do minor city management for the population on the map. Run some rail from city to city for an easy cash grab for people transportation. Or, place down truck stops and cargo depots to assign routes for your supply trucks to haul basic resources into goods producers. But, make sure there is demand and a logistics line to supply the city's needs, otherwise your trucks, trains and airplanes will do the opposite of MAKE you money. Tips for once you start a game: 1. Do not be afraid to max out your loans if you need it to build a new train line or cargo route. Just make sure you can pay the added interest. Only take out as much as you need and payback as much as you can as soon as you can when you have the money. 2. Start slow and wait for demand to build if you want to see profits sooner. Did you just create a logistics line from one end of the map to the other? Did you by more trucks or train cars than can be filled with the resource node's production cap? Maybe consider starting with less train cars, or fewer trucks to get the supply line started. Don't lose money by ignoring the need to scale you labor. 3. Locate and understand the need for increased maintenance on your fleet of vehicles, especially in the end game. There used to be a mechanic or mod for TF1 that auto renewed your vehicles when they 'aged out.' I can no longer find this mechanic or mod for TF2. The important thing to understand is that every vehicles you buy has a slow degradation over time that happens to it. As it falls into a "bad" state, it will become louder, accelerate slower, and put out more emissions (all of which matters to some degree to the cities you are delivering to). This requires you to have to manually re-buy EVERY Plane, Train, and truck you have purchased. Increase the maintenance costs to prolong your having to re-buy everything, at a cost of course. 4. Find and locate the Cargo filters for each destination your cargo is delivered to. Understand how the filters work for "load" and "unload" options. This will help in the later game, as it will prevent a resource from being shipped across the entire map to an unintended node that also requires it. Long story short, use filters to prevent a resource you want to send from Point A to Point B from reaching Point C instead.

This game is essentially a modern version of the old Transport Tycoon with some substantially improved functionality and graphics. It is truly a great game! If you're looking for something that will fill the hole Transport Tycoon left then this is it and more. If you played Transport Tycoon in the past you will immediately recognise almost all the features and be able to start playing with hardly any introduction.
