After being recommended to me from a random guy I met online, I found that Tunnel Escape is a pretty good eroge with solid gameplay, a decent chunk of content, beautiful art, and not bad voice acting. I was particularly impressed with the sheer variety of sprite work and the complexity of the well-balanced combat system; I believe this is one of the best implementations of a turn-based rpg focused around swapping weapons during combat, with meta difficulty of survival inventory management. The actual H-scenes are a little bit of an acquired taste, though there are many options in the settings for the disinclined to disable part or all of the erotic content which ranges from bestiality to childbirth. No I will never stop ruining my friends' Steam store pages.

I'll never understand why this one sits at just "mostly positive". I've (not proudly, but admittedly) played dozen of *cough* cultured games, and by far, this one comes with the best gameplay. Nothing even comes close. No, seriously, the actual gameplay loop itself is so solid, if you turned off H mode entirely, it's still a decent game in its own right. The formula itself is pretty simple: grind levels to earn more currency/consumables -> get better gear -> tackle harder levels -> get more currency -> get even better gear -> grind even harder levels -> rinse and repeat. If you enjoy grindy games, like Monster hunter and Grandblue: relink, you'll feel right at home. And if that's not enough, the way they integrate H scenes into the gameplay loop is truly what makes this one stand out. In your more typical H games, the gameplay is, at best, side activities. I.e. something you just get over with to get to the good stuff. But here in Tunnel Escape, the H scenes is directly baked into gameplay. Here's a rough breakdown on how it works: - Any enemies have a % chance to trigger H scene that typically has 3 stages. As a player, you can directly influence on if these all played out (or not). You can even force the chance to be 100%. - If all 3 stages are played out, the enemies will, um, leave seeds within your protag. These seeds will both gives a buff AND debuff to the protag. YES THAT'S RIGHT, H scenes will affect how you build the protag. Want a female protag glass cannon that blasts everything, and getting blasted by everything too? better collect dem seeds boi. - The H scene also give protag a *pleasure* meter. The higher it is, the more damage you deal. But if it reaches 100%, she will, *um*, climax, and thus lose all of the damage buff. So not only the H scenes affect character build, it also affects gameplay as a kind of a high-risk high-reward meter that you can build/lose. The end result is a surprisingly fun grinding experience, with some good quality H scenes on top. In my opinion, this is what an H game should be: actual decent game with H stuffs on top. 10/10 would recommend to my fellow cultured gamers.

For a main price of 20 dollars, you get animated H-scenes featuring tentacles, yuri, futa, hypnosis, non-con, bestiality, and zombies. The main gameplay is a linear progression dungeon with turn based strategy and five zones, each ending in a boss fight. The game has two modes, normal and hard, for those who want to play a game while hard, and those who want to play a hard game. IMPORTANT NOTES: a patch found on the publisher's website is required for the adult content, and the patch includes an option to keep the hentai stuff off. Fap Score: 8.5* *Game's hot enough, but the merchant keeps disappearing, which is quite inconvenient when I need ammo after losing a battle. Check out my profile for other reviews, or don't.
