ENG/RU(Русская версия в ответах) 1. Complaints about difficulty Honestly, I don’t get why people whine so much. So many reviews are full of people complaining even about a 25% hit boost. But that’s honestly one of the best and most unique mechanics in the game, right after the art style. If it’s too hard for you, just turn it off in the settings. Nobody forces you to “sweat” and play with it. (Yeah, I’m talking about reviews written after the update where you can actually change this setting.) 2. Reviews from people who played less than 4 hours It’s especially funny reading reviews from people who played for less than four hours. They complain about bugs, controls, or confusing progression, but most likely they skipped the tutorial or didn’t actually read the text properly. Yeah, you need a bit of time to get used to the writing style, because there’s a lot of text. But that’s a good point for me, because the world is interesting and tries to be deep. The characters are connected, and even random NPCs can give you cool bits of lore. If you skip the dialogues, of course you won’t understand anything, and the game will seem boring. 3. Side quests and story Yeah, side quests are a bit repetitive — the game tries to do plot twists, but they’re not that deep or surprising. Still, they’re fun to play through. People who complain that the “game feels small” just rush the main quest. In almost any RPG, if you only stick to the main story, the world will feel tiny. But if you explore, talk to any NPCS, and read the lore, there’s plenty of content to enjoy. I get that the game isn’t complete — there are only two worlds and many of the promised stuff is missing — but that doesn’t make it bad. It’s just not as big as it could’ve been. 4. Bugs Throughout my entire playthrough, I only found one bug - a mosquito got stuck in a wall. And it didn’t even affect anything. So I have no clue how people with only 30 minutes of playtime are finding “tons of bugs.” (Again, I’m talking about new reviews.) 5. Healing and stealing mechanics The fact that your healing item can be stolen or broken is honestly awesome. Everyone’s used to heals being just “restore HP.” But here you actually have to find the right moment to use it, or else it might get stolen or destroyed. And you can steal heals and buffs from enemies too — they use them exactly like you do. 6. Balance and difficulty I don’t know if it’s just my experience or I’m “doing something wrong,” but the game doesn’t really feel hard. After level 15–20 of any core, you become overpowered and even +200% enemy damage doesn’t help them. You can build a total op setup with companions, or just spam grenades and knives. The game gives you SO many ways not to die. 7. Trading Trading in this game is done better than in most RPGs. The only downside is the limited inventory, but you’ll always have enough money (organs, coins, trade items, etc.) as long as you’re not only doing main quests. 8. The most popular review and why it’s not objective 1. Dodging — super easy, you’ll get used to it within a couple of hours. 2. To miss your own heal or buff, you’d honestly have to be really bad. 3. Organ breaking — way better than just dying. Usually happens during total chaos with 10–20 enemies at once, and yeah, it’s hard to escape. But after 40 hours on 200% difficulty, I’ve only broken six organs, so it doesn't happen that often. The mechanic itself is really unique and cool. Everything else that reviewer mentioned was either already fixed, or it’s one of those things that actually make the game more interesting. 8.5 The biggest downside — fire status Here I totally agree. Fire is pure pain. You catch on fire every two seconds, and the effect spreads slowly between you and your companion. You either have to stack tons of fire resistance or just play without fire effects at all. I recommend the second option — the fire effect is strong, but there are alternatives with fewer downsides. Conclusion The game isn’t perfect, but it has: Great atmosphere Interesting lore Unique mechanics A challenge (though I don’t recommend playing below 75% enemy buff, and 100% is perfect) The negative: Fire Annoying item rearrangement in the inventory (you’ll understand when you need to craft a lot) Some repetitiveness (it can get boring if you don’t pay attention) Unmet expectations (the game was released a bit raw and unfinished) If you take the time to read properly and experiment, the game really becomes very good This is the first time I’ve defended a game so hard and trust me, it’s worth it
