i very much do recommend this game HOWEVER... it is not worth the full price. buy it on sale for at least 50% off. then, it's worth it. it only takes about 4-5 hours to beat the game entirely (could be even less if you were really quick). don't get me wrong, it's a great few hours. it's very calming and relaxing and has a beautiful story told in a unique way. but i can't say it's worth a whole $20 considering how short it is and how it doesn't have much replay value.

I do like this game, but; - I would have liked a creative mode, after finishing the story, where you can choose one of the rooms/houses and place every item in every room (e.g. putting a mug on your desk). Just to add a little more replay value. - I do recommend you buy this game on sale. It had a very short game play so spend you money wisely.

After all these years, this is still my favorite video game of all time. I've played through it 8 times (including a dark star run and a run with my boyfriend choosing where most things went over call) and I still will never get enough. The art is beautiful, the little sounds everything makes is so satisfying, everything is so darn cute that I'm getting attached to the little travel trinkets. This is the sole video game soundtrack I'll listen to while doing work (or even doing some unpacking of my own). "Unpacking A Life" has been on my playlists for years, it's gorgeous. And I didn't even mention the story. Ough, I want to eat, sleep, and breathe this story. I've also purchased the fruit coasters, the kitty plush, and the space girl poster. I love how basically all the merch is actual items in the game, that's literally my favorite genre of merch. I felt compelled to write a review after seeing so many criticizing the game for being "too short", "overpriced", and "picky". These are all untrue. Every run for me takes about 4-5 hours, and as I've said I've done 8 runs since the game launched. I always want to return to it for just a weekend comfort. 20$ is the perfect price for all the amazing work that's gone into it. And all the people complaining about items not being able to be placed in certain places really pisses me off. 1. It's a puzzle game. There's going to be correct spaces, it's not that hard to correct yourself. And 2. You can literally turn off the puzzle mechanic if you really want to just put things anywhere. All that is to say, this is the best game of all time and I will play it until I die, (Hopefully surrounded by chick plushies)

The game was super cute and relaxing, but it really was super short for me, I bought it on sale but it was still expensive for what you get, I kind of wish we got different story lines with different "houses"
