By far my favorite VR game, i don't play VR very often but when i do VAIL is the first game i boot. It has a lot of potencial, just ignore the reviews saying that the game is dead beacause it's not the case, the game has far more players than it had before (specially with the release on Quest) and even when it had few players i still enjoyed the game, no vr fps games hits the same as VAIL to me. However i recomend turning off voice chat in public lobbies because it's infested with toxic kids sadly. And having part of the multiplayer (Vail combat) locked behind a pay wall is very strange. Considering i had to pay for the full game back then. So be aware that the game is not fully free to play. I marked this review as positive but the game has flaws, and if you dont want to be around "squeakers" then i would recomend playing other VR FPS games. but if you dont mind the problems mentioned above go for it because the game itself is fun. If the playerbase was more mature and Vail Combat was cheaper or even free i think this game would be in a better place than it currently is.

I dropped vail for some time due to PC issues (RAM was crapping out on me) but now that I'm back it's better than ever. New social hub, new market, improved gameplay, just overall an awesome game. These devs just keep delivering

VAIL VR is essentially an attempt to make a CS style shooter in VR. It does the job rather well, but also inherits a lot of the same inherent tired design. The grey maps and gameplay can sometimes feel a little too borrowed from the past. The devs pride themselves on superior netcode, latency and polished gameplay. While the gameplay is certainly up there with the best VR shooters. The game suffers from certain netcode issues, and inconsistencies with reload mechanics that keep it from being the very best it could be.
