Vector is a fast paced, parkour inspired platformer with a sleek, minimalist art style. One of those childhood mobile games I played a ton, the level design and overall vibe were amazing. A lot of people have probably played it already, but ifyouhaven’t,definitely give it a shot. 6/10

Checked this port out after years of not playing the game after hearing about its recent remaster. Not really anything special for PC, but still a masterpiece for what it is

The game is awesome, but can be frustrating sometimes. First of all, this is more to a memory sequence game than a parkour game, you have to do trial and error for some parts. Second, there are no checkpoints, meaning if you die, you must start over. Third, lacking practice mode, unlike Geometry Dash, where we could place checkpoints to learn a certain part of the level. Fourth, the camera sometimes zooms in and zooms out at the last moment, so I was unable to prepare my upcoming move. Why can't we always play with zoomed out cam? Overall, I'd still recommend this game.

A childhood classic of mine... Vector. It's essentially Mirror's Edge but in a 2D perspective albeit it's handled really well. The opening cutscene is ominous and mysterious with minimal dialogue yet animated beautifully with high production values and perfectly encapsulates of what's to come. The graphics are simplistic but artistically unique in nature, and the music although a bit repetitive, are heart-pumpingly action-packed and atmospheric and soothing to the ears, no complaints at all. The way the game controls is relatively simple, you swipe the screen or move the control stick to perform context sensitive commands. Move up to jump, climb obstacles, and perform tricks when prompted, move right to dash when prompted, move left to slow down, and move down to perform a slide. You also move left and right to perform wall jumps in certain areas, among other things. It may sound simple but as the game goes on, each platforming challenges gradually become a lot more complex and even sometimes brutally difficult if you're trying to complete every level with all collectables and a 3 star rating. Throughout the game, you'll slowly unlock tricks, costumes, gear and gadgets to personalize how your character looks, and will benefit you greatly through 100% completion and the use of gadgets to make chases easier if things get tough. While we're on the subject of unlockables, there are of course microtransactions, unless if you're talking about the mobile version from which the steam version lacks. But these are never really forced upon your throat that much to the point were it becomes cynically infuriating. The game's story may be relatively short but it packs a healthy amount of content through different game modes and bonus levels to increase the longevity and overall value of the whole package. For $6.99 on steam, it's a bit overpriced: considering the game's short length. For $0.99 on Google Play and the App Store, it's well worth the investment. If you don't mind playing either version for low or higher the price, then go for it. It's worth every penny and I highly recommend you experience it for yourself. It may not be "greatest game of all time" material per say, but it is surely a must buy.
