Wanba Warriors is an unconventional multiplayer arena fighter developed by Wanba Studio and BigYu and published by Wanba Studio. Rather than following the traditional path of competitive fighting games filled with complex combos and technical mechanics, it embraces a more chaotic and lighthearted approach. The game's central concept revolves around warriors wielding oversized brushes as weapons, transforming every battle into a humorous spectacle where timing, positioning, and a bit of luck can determine victory. From the moment players enter their first match, it becomes clear that the developers prioritized fun, accessibility, and unpredictable moments over strict realism or competitive seriousness. The combat system is surprisingly engaging despite its straightforward design. Players swing giant brushes in wide arcs, creating a unique rhythm that differs from most arena brawlers. While the controls are easy to understand, mastering movement and attack timing takes practice. Every encounter feels tense because a single mistake can quickly turn the tide of battle. The simplicity of the mechanics allows newcomers to participate immediately, yet experienced players can still develop strategies by learning character abilities, map layouts, and effective positioning. This balance between accessibility and skill creates matches that remain entertaining long after the novelty of the premise wears off. One of the game's strongest features is its colorful cast of characters. Each warrior possesses distinct traits and abilities that encourage experimentation. Instead of relying on realistic designs, the roster embraces exaggerated personalities and whimsical concepts that fit perfectly within the game's playful atmosphere. Learning the strengths and weaknesses of different fighters adds variety to matches and encourages players to adapt their tactics. The inclusion of additional characters through downloadable content further expands the available options, giving dedicated players more ways to approach combat and discover new favorite playstyles. Visually, Wanba Warriors delivers a vibrant and charming presentation. The colorful environments and expressive character models help establish a cheerful tone that never takes itself too seriously. Animations are intentionally exaggerated, making every spin, strike, and knockout both easy to follow and amusing to watch. Even when battles become crowded with multiple participants, the action remains readable enough for players to understand what is happening. This clarity is important because the fast pace and chaotic nature of combat could otherwise become overwhelming. The art direction succeeds by supporting gameplay while maintaining a distinctive visual identity. The audio design complements the action effectively. Impact sounds provide satisfying feedback for successful attacks, while character reactions contribute to the game's comedic personality. The soundtrack maintains an energetic atmosphere without overshadowing the gameplay. Although the music is not the primary attraction, it serves its purpose well by enhancing the excitement of each match and reinforcing the game's playful spirit. Together, the visuals and audio create an experience that feels consistently lively and entertaining. Multiplayer is where Wanba Warriors truly shines. Whether competing locally with friends or facing opponents online, the game is built around social interaction and unpredictable encounters. Every match has the potential to generate memorable moments, from unexpected victories to hilarious accidents caused by the game's physics and combat mechanics. The accessibility of the controls makes it easy to introduce new players, while the depth hidden beneath the surface provides enough substance for extended play sessions. Few games capture the feeling of spontaneous party-game chaos as effectively as Wanba Warriors. That said, the game is not without limitations. Players searching for a highly competitive fighting experience may find the emphasis on unpredictability somewhat frustrating. The chaotic nature of battles occasionally reduces the influence of careful planning, and some outcomes can feel more accidental than earned. Solo players may also find the experience less engaging over time, as much of the game's appeal comes from competing against human opponents. While there is enough content to justify the package, the multiplayer component remains the primary reason to return. What makes Wanba Warriors stand out is its commitment to originality. It takes a bizarre idea and builds an entire game around it without hesitation. The result is a multiplayer fighter that feels fresh, approachable, and genuinely entertaining. By focusing on fun rather than complexity, the developers have created a title capable of producing laughter, excitement, and unexpected stories during every session. It may not redefine the fighting genre, but it successfully carves out its own identity and offers an experience unlike most of its competitors. For players who enjoy party-oriented competitive games and appreciate a healthy dose of absurd humor, Wanba Warriors is well worth exploring. Its unique combat mechanics, colorful presentation, memorable characters, and strong multiplayer focus combine to create a highly enjoyable package. While it may not appeal equally to every type of fighting game fan, it succeeds admirably at delivering entertaining and unpredictable battles that are best experienced with friends. Rating: 8/10

Had to trick myself into buying the DLC character packs. 15$ for the full game feels like a cash grab, however ignoring the price tag it's a fun enough time.

Very fun with friends and an almost addicting combat system but i do wish that they added another character or two for the base game as well as reworking the online play but besides that its pretty enjoyable
