I really like this game. It plays a bit like civilisation but has less of a tech tree and is more battle/combat focused as well as a much better mix of different units with abilities, but still has enough kingdom management that it is important. If you ever wished that civilisation has more combat and more unit options and less “management” this is the game I would recommend to you.
I assumed I would bounce off this, but it totally sucked me in for almost 3hrs. Very smooth to play. Voice acting makes such a difference with the tutorial. I don’t yet know what the victory conditions are, but I had a ton of fun just building stuff, exploring, defending my territory and casting spells. Feels very similar to Age of Wonders 3. Not sure which came first. But I think I like this one better - the quality of life of the city building / unit building / spell casting / everything is so much better here. It’s all just smooth and easy to play. Doesn’t feel grindy or repetitive in terms of having to click a million times.
