the base idea of the game is really good and it is engaging. Slavery, Cannibalism, Thief, Murderer, all of that is possible, ingame too! The only problem i have is if you don't own the dlcs like i do (i only have the base game, then choose adaptive difficulty, because region locked is balanced with dlcs, so you get enemies which are 3-4 levels higher because you dont have the dlc in between, where enemies are little bit more tame. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and should be changed.
It's a nice, chill game and I’d recommend it overall, but be warned: there’s a difficulty spike around levels 8-12 that completely killed the experience for me. It basically forces you into hours of grinding in lower-level zones just to keep progressing, which I personally find tedious. On top of that, the game pushes you into making morally questionable (often outright evil) decisions if you want to advance the main storyline, with no real way to avoid them. That might not bother everyone, but it definitely broke immersion for me. My biggest issue, however, is the DLC integration. DLC NPCs are scattered throughout the base game, inviting you to interact with them. But once you do, you're simply told that you need to buy the corresponding DLC to continue. I found this incredibly immersion-breaking and frustrating. If the content isn't available to base-game players, I'd rather those NPCs weren't placed throughout the world in the first place than constantly running into what feels like advertisements for paid content.
Fun game, cool style and gameplay. I enjoy the progression BUT My only gripe so far is finding a cool location only to be met with the DLC buy screen. Takes me back to when I was a kid playing MMOs and hitting literal paywalls. It takes me out of the game and makes me feel disappointed. They could have easily just not had the locations show up in-game until you got the DLC, but instead you are constantly met with predatory advertising. "Here is this cool location, NOW PAY US MORE MONEY" like cmon, AND the DLC are as expensive as buying the game again...
