What a lovely game - I wish it didn't have to end! Ultimate cosy survival game that's pleasantly easy with enough challenge to never be boring. One thing that I worked out that might be useful: initially I was irritated at how little backpack space you have. It became intensely annoying to have to keep going back to the burrow to dump stuff. Then I realised! The entire world is storage space! Unlike other games, the objects don't disappear after you drop them or even after quitting the game. So you can pick up useful treats when you return to areas, and collect items you weren't carrying before. Very satisfying. In the end, I didn't manage to unlock all the extra rucksack spaces but I barely noticed. Hurray! Roll on Spring Burrow - please please! Or February Burrow :-)

If you like survival games... maybe don't get this. This is a linear story cozy game first with a thin coating of survival game. This game is clearly designed for non-gamers which isn't a bad thing at all. But, it might not be what you're looking for. On the contrary, if you don't regularly play videos games and are looking for a simple linear story with a wonderful atmosphere. This game is great. Things this game can improve on IMO: -The battle music is way too loud and the game would be better without it. It honestly breaks the immersion for me -The enemies are zero threat whatsoever. I don't mind the enemies being easier in a cozy game. But they are literally zero threat and more of an annoyance -You can build so many different storage containers, but they are all decorative and they all share the same inventory. So good luck organizing anything

I had this on my wish list and decided to purchase. Started investigating the reviews and almost refunded immediately because of "how short" and "lack of content" reviews. But being the OG that I am, I decided to give it a try. So, so glad I did. The art style is professional and helps you connect with the characters. The music score fits the theme and helps create the mood. The story line is emotional. It is a "slow your roll" game. Meant to be consumed and enjoyed "guiltily" on a cold winter day with a hot cup of tea/java/chocolate while relaxing in comfortable attire and your hair, well, just there, while letting the "outside world revolve". -Con- While you can play your way, there is a invisible path to each new Npc and area and I don't mean literally as a physical path of colored leaves will mark your travels. I mean if you jump ahead or around to other areas or make things out of order of this invisible play path, you will find yourself "soft locked" and relaying on the olé' nemeses RNG. At my 19th hour of game play, I started a new playthrough with my now knowledge of the mechanics of game play. I took more time thoroughly maxing each area, Npc, recipes, furniture group, etc. Gather, gather and then gather some more. I'm now approaching 40 hours game play and I regret NOTHING. I have been engrossed and entertained. Well worth the price and your time. To be clear. This game is less than a month full release. Developers are present and very dedicated. This game is awesome and will only get better. Can't wait to journey along with this title.

This is a very cozy, melancholy take on survival games, which I really enjoyed. The gameplay is about 10 hours, maybe 11-12 if you like to complete all achievements. I loved the story, thought the pace for tool improvements and inventory growth fit the size of the map and the game, and appreciated that it was story that drove your ability to acquire new recipes, but definitely wished for a bit more story at the end as the last couple hours of the game felt more focused on decoration hunting than anything. Other pros: Well balanced for the game size, good story, Cute as heck, you can decorate the burrow, fun map exploration, and great emotional atmosphere set by the art, music, and narrative scenes. Cooking and knitting are also absolutely adorable crafting options. Cons: I wanted more clothing options to customize appearance w/o sacrificing warmth. A map would have been helpful by mid-game or later (even a very general one). More story would help pad the grind for furniture recipes at the end of the game. Overall this was a good game and I enjoyed the experience. Good job!

Ok I’m 2.5 hours in, in the game itself is not bad. Here’s what I like and dislike. Dislike: Map- there’s no map linear- too linear (can’t really explore much outside of current quests/can’t craft much outside of current quests) Backtracking- I would say half of my playtime has been spent back tracking (going back home) either to store things bcuz the inventory is too small, even after my first inventory upgrade (only +4 more) I’m constantly having to backtrack home (no fast travel ) to get rid of full inventory. Heat meter- the heat meter wears down too quickly, it’s not the biggest deal in the world especially since there’s food that can up the heat meter but it’s a bit of a hassle What I like- The art: art speaks for itself No bugs (so far) Forgot to mention but with the 2.5 I already have a third of the achievements so now I’m worried the game will be too short.
