I like this game however I watched a video from 2 years ago on you tube where a streamer played it and it had other map choices I only have one choice. What happened to the other maps. and why on multiplayer do no servers show up did the game not takeoff or something?

Start Over is an open-ended survival sandbox developed and published by EY-Studio that leans heavily into player freedom, systemic depth, and emergent play. Rather than guiding the player through a tightly scripted narrative, the game drops you into a harsh but malleable world and asks you to define your own objectives, pace, and identity within it. From the outset, Start Over communicates its ambitions clearly: survival is only the beginning, and what follows is a layered mix of crafting, base construction, exploration, and combat that can unfold in many different directions depending on player preference. The survival mechanics form a familiar but solid foundation. Gathering resources, managing hunger and health, and crafting essential tools are the first steps toward stability, and the game encourages experimentation rather than rigid progression paths. Early on, players learn to read the environment, deciding where to settle, what to prioritize, and how aggressively to expand. The crafting system gradually opens up across multiple technological tiers, shifting the experience from basic subsistence toward increasingly complex production chains. This sense of growth is one of the game’s most satisfying elements, as humble beginnings can eventually evolve into well-organized bases filled with machinery, storage systems, and defensive structures. Base building is a central pillar of the experience and offers considerable flexibility. Players are free to construct anything from simple shelters to sprawling fortified compounds, with placement and layout choices directly affecting both efficiency and defense. The inclusion of wave-based enemy attacks adds a subtle tower-defense flavor, forcing players to think not just about comfort and production, but about protection and strategic design. Fortifications, traps, and automated defenses become increasingly important as threats escalate, turning base planning into a meaningful strategic exercise rather than a purely cosmetic one. Exploration complements this construction-focused gameplay by providing constant incentives to venture beyond safe zones. The world is divided into distinct regions and biomes, each offering unique resources, dangers, and points of interest. Abandoned structures, underground areas, and hostile camps encourage risk-reward decision making, as valuable loot is often guarded by environmental hazards or aggressive enemies. These excursions break up the rhythm of base management and reinforce the feeling that the world exists independently of the player’s progress, offering opportunities but never guaranteeing safety. Combat in Start Over is functional and serviceable, designed to support the survival loop rather than dominate it. Encounters can range from brief skirmishes with wildlife to more demanding fights against organized enemies, particularly during base assaults. While combat mechanics are not especially flashy, they gain significance through preparation and context. Having the right equipment, defenses, and positioning often matters more than reflexes alone, reinforcing the idea that long-term planning is the true path to survival. Multiplayer functionality adds another dimension to the sandbox. Cooperative play allows friends to divide responsibilities, specialize in different aspects of progression, and tackle ambitious projects more efficiently. Building together, defending shared bases, and exploring dangerous areas as a group creates emergent stories that feel personal and unscripted. At the same time, multiplayer can introduce unpredictability, especially when different playstyles collide, further emphasizing the game’s sandbox nature. As an Early Access title, Start Over inevitably shows signs of ongoing development. Some systems lack polish, tutorials are limited, and new players may initially feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of mechanics presented without much guidance. Progression pacing can also feel uneven, with moments of rapid advancement followed by slower stretches that demand patience. These rough edges are noticeable, but they coexist with a clear sense of direction and ambition that suggests the game is designed to grow over time rather than remain static. Visually, the game adopts a practical, straightforward aesthetic that prioritizes readability over spectacle. Environments are functional and varied enough to support exploration and survival gameplay, even if they rarely aim for cinematic impact. Sound design follows a similar philosophy, delivering useful feedback and atmosphere without drawing too much attention to itself. This understated presentation reinforces the game’s emphasis on systems and player-driven stories rather than authored drama. Ultimately, Start Over succeeds most when viewed as a sandbox rather than a finished narrative experience. Its strength lies in the freedom it offers—freedom to build, to explore, to cooperate, and to fail and adapt. While its Early Access status means that refinement and additional content will be critical to its long-term success, the foundation is rich with possibility. For players who enjoy survival games that reward patience, experimentation, and self-directed goals, Start Over provides a broad canvas on which to create their own stories of endurance and growth. It's rough but I'm optimistic. Definitely room for improvement and I'm sure the devs are working on it. I'll be keeping an eye out for updates. A better building system with more options and the ability to move objects around without destroying them is a must. The physics regarding the horse are pretty laughable. Still recommend the game.

Great game to play good fun looks good plays smooth. The only thing I don't like about this game is the building items if you put things the wrong way round or in the wrong place you can not just move them you got to axe them apart which takes way to long. But still a fun game to play.
