The devs have impressed me with how quickly they respond to questions, and they have already implemented several suggestions from players. They've updated the game numerous times post release with quality of life improvements, and custom game modes. Don't like durability loss on weapons and armor, forcing you to repair your gear? You can reduce it, or turn it off completely in the custom game options. As for the game itself, I love the art style and the overall gameplay. The music is good, if a bit repetitive. It reminds me of one of my favorites in this genre, Return to Core. While I have respect for the talent required to make good pixel art, it is refreshing to see an alternative. Bright colors, bouncy, cute, cartoony monsters, and a lot of customization options make it a winner. It hasn't crashed on me so far in over 60 hours of play, and it runs at a stable and steady 144 FPS on my 1080p gaming machine. There is a *lot* of long-winded dialogue in the game. Some of it is interesting and well-written. Some of it is enjoyably silly, and some conversations had my eyes glazing over with the incessant rambling. The devs were once again thoughtful, as there is an option to "reduce babbling", and you can skip to the end of a conversation at almost any time. My main gripes (enemy "trash mob" HP too high, and ammo construction costs too costly for the amount you get) earned a response from the devs already (within just a few hours of posting my suggestions), and given their rapid iteration on player ideas in the past, I'm confident there will be some sort of customization option or balance pass. Overall a solid thumbs up, and I look forward to see how the devs enhance the game going forward.

I was a little uncertain about this game when I bought it. I've played a couple other games that have reminded me of this game like Crashlands and Cryofall and wasnt super impressed with the lack of depth, but this game has everything i wish those games had had. I absolutely love the little animals around the map that you can get to follow you home with their favorite food. They are sooo cute too! The little pig shakes his bum at you! My favorite aggressive animal is the black bird that throws up rainbows on you! I was so delighted the first time that happened! The animals and Npcs are absolute gems in this game! You have visiting Npcs that you can talk to and trade with and once you get their friendship up you can invite them to live in your settlement. I really enjoy doing their quests and building the settlement. The dialog and quests are so well done in this game! I did not expect to lose all my free time to this game lol but I'm not complaining about it! I've loved every second of gameplay and can't wait to hop on after I'm done writing this review! You can tell the Devs absolutely love this game and care a lot about how the players feel and their feedback! If you do buy the game make sure to join the discord. The devs are quite active on there and you can report bugs and make suggestions! * Don't let the complaints about hunger draining too fast scare you off, they have fixed that and many other things people reported.

Negative reviews are unwarranted Hunger system isn't that restrictive at all even well before my almost 6 hours I have more food than I know what to do with Beyond that, the game is a blast! Artstyle is amazing and the gameplay is great just as cozy as core keeper looking forward to new content especially the extraction elements that im glad are still being included!

The game is fun and the visuals are beautiful. I really appreciate the character designs, the vivid colors, and overall atmosphere. I hope this game gains a lot of traction—I can tell a lot of love went into it. I look forward to seeing what the game has in store for the future. I see some reviews specifically about hunger, there are accessories and also food that increase the hunger bar so it doesn't deplete as fast. Gardening and cooking is essential in this game early on. Haven’t gotten that far but play style reminds me of tinkerlands and necesse. The graphics are very nice! Fun game. Can’t wait to get more into it! Runs really well on steamdeck and Xbox controller.
