It's... mkay, I've tried a couple others out, this one is... a complicated answer. On one hand compared to your mother or stepmother, it does serve its purpose as a desktop assistant in that it goes about its own business, just a fun lil extra while you're gaming, working, listening to music, drawing, or whatever you're doing. However, on the other (especially when trying to get achievements), when you do wish to interact with her specifically there is little to no involvement. There's achievements and she kind of unlocks them herself, outside of one where you need to wake her up and... I have no idea how to do that because there's no indication to make her sleep or wake up. You can't actually interact with her specifically which does kind of defeat the purpose of being a desktop companion. Clicking or right clicking on her does nothing. You have to go into tray which already feels overly complicated to other ones. I also don't get the going in and out 3d stuff she does sometimes, getting closer then further away. It could be worse, and I get it, it's in the description she's out of control, so it's intentional you can't make her do things I suppose... but it'd be nice to have some amount of control ya know? Also on the steam store page, mother's secret? Not sure what that's about if it's hiding in some folder somewhere, but I couldn't find it when browsing local files for the game, no idea if that is something or not. It's cheap, lots of cute, beautiful etc costumes, some funny ones, not hurting anyone, but ehhh could be better especially if you put achievements behind it. Like I tried another one called Your Wife, and those were too easy, just sit with it up for 100 minutes, and these achievements are more or less like that, eventually she'll cycle through all of them on her own... except the 1 involving her sleeping, where you have to wake her up yourself, no idea how to do that still, even blasted Doom music "The only thing they fear is you" on the boom box while she slept... nothing. So ehh... mixed bag, if there was a side ways thumb I'd give that, it's meh, but again cheap not hurting anyone thus the thumbs up.
I love grind games and achievement hunting, so of course I got it. For me, that’s basically the whole point of the game. However, the workshop contains a lot of NSFW content, so if you’re interested in that, it might be worth checking out. Overall, I mostly played it for fun rather than because it had a meaningful purpose or long-term gameplay. The main reason to play is really just to grind achievements or show them off. Final score: 6/10.
