Welcome to Sintracorp, the corporation where dreams go to die and unpaid overtime thrives. Enter Yuppie Psycho, a game that throws you into the shoes of Brian Pasternack, a humble nobody whose greatest life accomplishment up to this point was probably remembering to feed his house plant. Brian’s first day on the job isn’t just about learning to use the printer or figuring out where the coffee machine is it’s about hunting a witch. Yes, you read that right: a witch. Story: Imagine getting hired for a “mystery position” without knowing any job details, salary, or even what your company does. Now imagine they tell you your only task is to eliminate an evil entity in the workplace. This is Brian’s life now. In Yuppie Psycho, Sintracorp makes even the worst job you’ve ever had look like paradise. Gameplay: Your “training” consists of finding obscure, ancient documents, hiding from nightmarish monsters (a.k.a. your “colleagues”), and figuring out that office supplies can actually save your life. Brian learns the most effective use of a pencil: stabbing living photocopiers that will try to eat him. The only drawback to using pencils this way? You’ll probably get a promotion for “efficiency.” Throughout the game, you meet some memorable “coworkers” from Hugo, the weird guy who somehow has way too much power, to Kate, who seems like she’s the only one who didn’t sell her soul. Every encounter is a comedic masterpiece, balancing horror with deadpan corporate absurdity. You’ll spend as much time laughing as you will nervously hiding in supply closets. Graphics & Sound: The pixel art style brings charm to what should be a terrifying experience. Sure, the dimly lit offices and mysterious goo seeping from the ceiling add to the horror, but the retro style somehow makes it… endearing? The soundtrack is like if your corporate orientation video got mixed with an 80s horror movie. Conclusion: Yuppie Psycho is a job simulator from hell and a horror-comedy done right. It’s a brilliant take on the horror genre, office life, and, let’s face it, entry-level positions. Not only will you fear for your life, but you’ll also reconsider your next job interview. Verdict: Don’t play this game at work unless you want HR to schedule a very awkward meeting.

Yuppie Psycho is honestly a perfect game for me. I enjoyed every single moment from beginning to end. The story is incredibly well-written and engaging, with world-building that completely pulls you in. The atmosphere is creepy in all the right ways (got freaked out more than once), and I loved how many items and things that could affect your ending depending on how you use them. The characters are all unique loved every character vibes. The puzzle design is challenging enough, but never frustrating. And the pixel art? absolutely AMAZING. Enjoyed every cutscene. i didn't like their previous game (The Count Lucanor) that much but Yuppei Psycho is truly an unforgettable experience and a must-play for every pixel-horror and rpgmaker fans! definitely on my top list games of all time and iam Exited to play their next game. Surely going for 100% Achievements

Less of a horror game but more of an accurate representation of being a wage slave in the cage, the ''witch'' in question is your boss not giving a bonus on your yearly commission. final Rating = paid overtime/10 (aka very good)

Yuppie Psycho is an adventure / horror game published in 2019. In it, you play as Brian Pasternack, a young man who gets an invitation to work at the world's largest company Sintracorp. However, the job isn't anything like he expects - a lot of things are wrong inside the company, starting from the fact that his job description apparently involves witch hunting. This is a 2d-game with retro pixel graphics and isometric gameplay. You move around Sintracorp, discover things, pick up items, meet a colorful cast of characters, occasionally hide from dangerous things. Some old school survival horror inspiration can be detected in the resource management and limited save functionalities as well. The game is at its strongest near the beginning when everything is new and fresh and the satire surrounding 80's or 90's high-stakes corporate culture hits the hardest. It quickly becomes apparent that Sintracorp is incredibly dysfunctional as a work environment, but no one seems to mind it too much. Who cares about some blood stains on the floor as long as the monthly quotas are met, am I right? The appealing art and music as well as the generally interactive level design make the environments feel immersive and fun to explore. The biggest complaint I have on the gameplay front is that the design can get very obtuse, with a lot of secrets and details that seem unfeasible for anyone to discover without a walkthrough. Some of the story segments also have slight trigger-based jankiness which is reminiscent of old school adventure games and their pixel hunting. Especially towards the end I consulted a walkthrough fairly frequently - without doing so, it's unlikely I would've finished the game. Yuppie Psycho isn't particularly lengthy - my first playthrough lasted around 10 hours - but it does have some different paths which give it a bit of replay value. It's worth playing if you want something with style, originality and a satirical sense of humor, and don't mind being annoyed here and there. I'll keep the review short because I don't want to spoil anything - this is the sort of a game that works the best when you have minimal foreknowledge.
