April 2025
Although it’s a rhythm game, don’t expect fast-paced music and frantic reflexes. The minimalist approach in visuals, music, and game mechanics leans more toward a melancholic experience. Essentially, the first four levels are more than enough to grasp the essence of the game, where all the minimalist elements come together as a cohesive whole. If you decide to play the additional levels, where there are no checkpoints and you have to complete each level without dying, the game's flaws start to show. Simply put, no-hit runs with overly sensitive hitboxes, rigid movement, too much waiting, and unpredictable map segments just don’t work well in this kind of game. Play the first four levels and you’ll get an authentic experience that still holds value today—and it’s definitely worth the money!

I've never had the feeling that the way the game ends is so much a part of the game.

A short beautifully brutal minimalist platformer. New layers of each stage's song change the rhythm the landscape alters by as the player reaches checkpoints which are generously spread out through the first 4 levels, which are effectively training for the last 4 where there are no checkpoints and death means restarting the whole level specific world over. Deaths and restarts are abrupt and quickly allow the player back in without delay. Gameplay is smooth, precise, and unforgiving. Highly recommend if you enjoy the game's style.

Short, but worth it, especially on discount. It's challenging but not unfair, but the bosses can be significantly more difficult than the rest of the main game. The visuals and sound design are quite unique and very interesting. Lots of fun.
