To start, I played this game's demo on the Xbox 360 a long time ago. I thought it was neat then. A few years later, this game is pretty good. It's got some good music, nice visuals, and some pretty fun levels when you get the hang of things. I also especially loved the UI and cutscene's artwork. Of course, I do have one gripe, which is how the game seemingly locks your moveset down until it screams that you can do something when they tell you to. As much as it is comparing an older game to a more recent game, it'd be like if Pizza Tower prevented you from using the Taunt button until the game told you that you could do that. Of course, maybe it's just me thinking from a 2026 perspective. Other than that one mild issue, would I still recommend this game? Absolutely.
I got and played thru this game a while ago but I got sucked back into playing it when I saw my son playing a bad mobile running game. I told him 'if you are going to play a running game, you should play the BEST running game!' and I showed hm Runner 2. Needless to say, we are both now playing thru Runner 2! PLUS: I just bought Bit.Trip ReRunner so I am looking forward to playing thru that as well!
