It's really fantastic as a tool for understanding 4D, and I fully and confidently recommend it on that basis alone. As a puzzle game... let's just say it's often extremely rage-inducingly frustrating, but never because it's 4D. Whenever I got stuck, it wasn't because I was hopelessly lost and blindly fumbling around - it was because I already had the "aha" moment of understanding what was happening and where the ball needed to go, then failed 15 times at getting the ball out of a slippery banked gutter or across a BS halfpipe jump, and got so enraged that I could no longer focus on 4D navigation, and so became hopelessly lost and started blindly fumbling around. Yes, skill issue, but if I wanted to build skills with unreasonable "challenges" that are arbitrarily difficult for the sake of it, I'd be playing Trick Shot Simulator, not this. All in all, if you're interested in higher spatial dimensions and want to get a taste of what it's like to experience them, definitely give this a try. If you also happen to enjoy fake difficulty in games and repeatedly grinding at unfair roadblocks, this might become your favourite game of all time.

To update on my previous review, this game actually DOES do an amazing job of depicting four spatial dimensions in a way that makes a surprising amount of sense, not just in terms of geometry but also how physics interactions work directly from the perspective of an object moving through 4D space. And from a technical perspective it's an absolute wonder it works as well as it does, especially once a fifth spatial dimension is added in the finale courses . As a golf game it's also solid, basically every course was a blast in one way or another and I'm excited to see what people come up with in the level editor. As someone elsewhere said it, this is a 4D game that feels like a full game that happens to be 4D rather than simply being a tech demo, even if the latter isn't a bad thing either.

played the game. Completly lost any sense of orientation. I can now think in 4 dimensions. But I don't know where I am. Dont know when I am. Dont know why I am. Im scared. 10/10

Honestly the best 4D game available. Fantastic at showcasing the way space works, and volume mode is really smart. Also, it has a level editor, so the content in the base game isn't all there is, lots of fun to be had.

Seriously one of the best games I have played. It looks an early 2000 game, and the plot is so bare-bones it’s basically non-existent, but the gameplay itself is really fun and 4+D ness is really impressive and unlike Miegakure it actually released.
