Not too long ago, I discovered that I like Hidden Object Games. Not the 'find a needle in a junkpile' style but the games that ask you to find a bunch of animals hidden in artwork. After playing quite a few, Devcats has become my favorite developer in this genre. Although I am a dog-person by nature, I have really enjoyed exploring the worlds that Devcats creates. A Tower Full of Cats is one of my favorites. It has multiple scenes, a hint feature, the ability to zoom, and some mini-games that keep things interesting. It is large enough to have kept me busy for almost 8 hours and it is replayable. A few months from now, I will have no idea where those cats were hiding and it will be a brand new experience to find them again. Completionists will appreciate that getting 100% is simply a matter of patience and a willingness to look at each scene carefully. The game automatically saves at regular intervals so you can exit at any time without losing progress. I highly recommend this game to animal seekers. Even if you are not a cat-person, you are still apt to enjoy this trip through feline history. Great chill hidden object game to relax for few hours that also has great art. This was probably my favourite game from devcats so far. Can't wait for more games from them. Devs raising awareness on adoption and rescue of cats is amazing and the fact that you can support irl cats with every purchase of their games is a huge plus!

A Tower Full of Cats lives up to its name, especially with the free anniversary level added today, June 3rd, 2025. Devcats never seems to run out of ways to pack even more felines into a game. This one's great: about 2.5 hours of good variety, solid zoom, helpful hints, and cats that actually look like cats (finally). There's a nice mix of side quests, hidden extras, and rooms that feel more thoughtfully built than in earlier titles. That said, the music and sound effects will wear out your ears fast, and the story sometimes talks down to you like you’ve never played a game, or finished kindergarten. Still, it’s a purr-sistently charming experience overall. 7/10! I'm no stranger to Devcat's games, I've been there since they released their first hidden object game — I have to say this is their best one yet. It is chock full of references, charming, not too short, and the difficulty is just right. I feel this is worth mentioning since it's a huge part of their aspirations as a game developer but what really sets them apart from others in this genre (apart from the charm) are that some of the proceeds of your purchase go towards stray cats, adoptive cats and cats in need. Animal welfare is a topic that is especially important to me so that little touch is very meaningful.
