A Tower Full of Cats lives up to its name, especially with the free anniversary level added today, June 3rd, 2025. Devcats never seems to run out of ways to pack even more felines into a game. This one's great: about 2.5 hours of good variety, solid zoom, helpful hints, and cats that actually look like cats (finally). There's a nice mix of side quests, hidden extras, and rooms that feel more thoughtfully built than in earlier titles. That said, the music and sound effects will wear out your ears fast, and the story sometimes talks down to you like you’ve never played a game, or finished kindergarten. Still, it’s a purr-sistently charming experience overall. 7/10! I'm no stranger to Devcat's games, I've been there since they released their first hidden object game — I have to say this is their best one yet. It is chock full of references, charming, not too short, and the difficulty is just right. I feel this is worth mentioning since it's a huge part of their aspirations as a game developer but what really sets them apart from others in this genre (apart from the charm) are that some of the proceeds of your purchase go towards stray cats, adoptive cats and cats in need. Animal welfare is a topic that is especially important to me so that little touch is very meaningful.

There are a lot of "find all the cats" hidden object games out there and they are mostly all fun. But Devcats' games go above and beyond well done. Great art, lots of content, extra quests, some of the music is very catchy, some things will make you laugh, and their games are just SO fun. They have puzzle games as well - I recommend Cats Love Boxes. Also, spending money on their games helps cats in real life. I will buy each and every game they make and if you like searching for cats, definitely pick up A Tower Full of Cats. You won't be disappointed.

No joke, this is my GOTY of 2024. Somehow I got almost 6 hours out of it, but there's definitely idling involved in that playtime. I paid a fiver for it, worth every penny. It's very relaxing, colorful and cute. Find all the cats, help 'em out.
