Slow Start, Spectacular Finale This is a whole cinematic movie and a rare co-op experience that only works because it refuses to be played alone. Although the starting parts were a bit slow but that ENDING was AMAZING. 10/10 Plot Twist, didn't see it coming at all. Good thing, me and my friend weren't spoiled at all. It's like a movie. You and a partner control Leo and Vincent, two very different characters whose personalities shape both the story and gameplay. Every decision requires coordination, which makes it feel like you’re directing a prison escape movie together. The co-op mechanics are the highlight - from sneaking past guards to intense escape sequences, it’s consistently engaging. Re-playability is solid thanks to choice-based outcomes. The only downside, if I have to pick any, was the slow start and that's it. The Friend Pass is a huge win - only one person needs to own the game. I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't sold on the whole "Co-op only" aspect of this game. Mainly because finding another person and both of us being able to take time out of our busy schedules to play the same game at the same time is such a chore. But honestly? This game is just amazing & the story was worth that chore. The twists & turns, the whole nature of the gameplay... It's just worth it. A Way Out goes on deep sales fairly regularly, so while I'd personally say it's worth paying around £10 for it, you can grab it for even cheaper than that during major sales.

Developed by Hazelight Studios and led by the ever-energetic Josef Fares, this isn’t just a game you play, it’s an experience you share. Here is why this prison-break-turned-road-trip is one of the most unique titles in the last decade, and why you absolutely need a "Player 2" to survive it. Two Men, One Screen, No Solitude The first thing you need to know is that A Way Out cannot be played alone. There is no AI partner. There is no "single-player mode." You are either sitting on a couch with a buddy or playing online with a friend. The game uses a constant split-screen perspective, even when you're playing online. At first, it’s a bit jarring to see your friend’s perspective taking up half your monitor, but then the genius of it sinks in. While you’re busy distracting a guard in the laundry room, you can literally watch your partner sneak through the vents on their half of the screen. It creates a level of synchronized storytelling that most games can’t touch. It turns "I'm doing this" into "We are doing this," and that's a rare feeling in modern gaming. The Odd Duo: Leo and Vincent The story follows Leo, a hot-headed, punch-first-ask-questions-later kind of guy, and Vincent, the more calculated, stoic newcomer. The two protagonists were relatable and likable. Story was great and had unexpected turns. It's always nice to see games made for local-coop these days, so thats a plus! Camera can get annoying sometimes.
