A Year of Springs is a VN that hurts. In a good way. It hurts because it's grounded in reality. I can tell that these stories were written by someone who has personal experience with how the world treats those who are different from the majority of society, whether that be directly, or indirectly. I think this VN has the best trans representation I've ever seen. Simply because of how real it is. I actually laughed because on the first time I played through One Night, Hot Springs I actually got the "bad" ending because all of the choices I made were the same damn choices I would have made if I was in Haru's position. Because it's hard! It's hard to break out of your shell and explain to random people that you've just met that you're transgender and what that means, exactly. It's hard to find the words to describe what it's like being transgender to someone who hasn't experienced it before. But this VN has those words. Quite literally. I have had some of the same exact thoughts that Haru has. I cannot stress this enough. The same. EXACT. Thoughts. I highly recommend that you read this if you are LGBTQ+. Especially if you are transgender. And extra especially if you know someone who is trans. You will understand things from their perspective a little bit more.

Beautiful gorg game with an amazing story I wish I found this sooner would of needed it more back then forsure but finding this right after trans visibility day is so sweet love this dev. And truly thank you. Amazing rep in this.

To put it shortly, very queer, short and very sweet games about friendship. It is rare to find games that I can relate to this deeply as a trans and aroace person. The characters are a joy to get to read through the prespective of, and to get each and every ending is a delight

As a trans woman, this game hurts. As a human, it hurts even more. But the pain is really good, while showing the struggles living life from a queer perspective, it also has very heartwarming moments, Games like this give me hope for humanity.

A short, sweet, and emotional VN about three young adult friends navigating their feelings and sexuality. An exploration of queer themes, this is perfect for people who are LGBTQ or who have friends and family who are. Very wholesome and cute, my only complaints are I wanted more story!
