Adios is one of those rare games that stays with you long after the credits roll, not because of spectacular set pieces or innovative gameplay, but because of its unflinching look at a simple, devastating human choice. At its core, Adios tells the story of a pig farmer who's decided to stop disposing of bodies for the mob. The game unfolds over a single day as a hitman (who's also become a friend over the years) tries to talk the farmer out of this decision - knowing that if he can't, he'll have to kill him. What makes Adios remarkable is its restraint. The game doesn't rely on traditional tension or artificial drama. Instead, it creates a space for two men to have honest conversations while performing mundane farm tasks. You feed pigs, go fishing, shoot skeet - all while discussing regret, mortality, and the choices that define us. The voice acting deserves special mention. The performances by D.C. Douglas and Rick Zieff bring an authenticity to these characters that elevates the experience beyond what you'd expect from an indie game. Their conversations feel lived-in and weighted with history. The visuals aren't technically impressive, but the art direction creates a melancholy pastoral setting that perfectly complements the story. The Kentucky farm setting becomes a character itself - isolated, beautiful, and tinged with sadness. The game never tries to manufacture a happy ending or last-minute escape. The farmer's death is inevitable, and the game respects this premise to its conclusion. When the hitman finally follows through on his assignment, it feels like the natural culmination of the story rather than a shock twist. Adios isn't for everyone. It's slow-paced, dialogue-heavy, and fundamentally about accepting the consequences of our choices. There's no winning here, only coming to terms with the path you've chosen. If you're looking for a game that treats you like an adult and isn't afraid to explore difficult themes with nuance and respect, Adios offers something rare in gaming: a mature meditation on life, death, and the meaning we find in between.

A very well written and well acted little game. It's short, but that's fine, it's exactly as long as it needs to be.

A neat little short story, well written and well acted. The visuals are a little clunky but they get the job done. I really enjoyed it, and I appreciate a short story told shortly instead of padded out to increase its "value".
