The beginning of the game is rough. The controls seem flaky and the atmosphere just doesn't hit... I was close to calling quits, but glad I didn't. This game turns from a mess into an excellent piece of art. The atmosphere changes, the controls become fluent, the art kicks off. If you pick this game up, don't be surprised by the beginning, it's worth pushing through.
One of the finest games I have ever played. We need more of these games. I would describe this game as stress-relieving. You just gotta relax and dive into the depths of Gaia's World. Everything about this game is well crafted and beautifully designed. I honestly would rate it 10 out of 10. Gotta thank the developers for their vision and creativity.
Not finished yet, but I’m already in love with this game. Some platforming sections can be a bit tricky, but they’re never frustrating — and most of the time, the visuals are absolutely stunning. The main message is crystal clear, and as an eco-activist myself, I found it easy to connect with. No dialogue - just haunting, blurred images of a world ruined by human hands. And that’s more than enough. It runs fine on the Steam Deck, but I cranked the visuals to max and chose to continue on PC I can’t help but stop and take in the scenery.
I can't believe this game doesn't have more reviews, as such I had to come leave one. This game is beautiful, heartbreaking, and wonderful all at the same time. It takes a bit to piece together the lore, but man once it clicks, it's a wonderful journey. I had no idea just how much I missed the first time I played through it, and while yes, can be a short game, I for sure got the itch to go back and play again to 100% it.
