This game is a blend of adventure and visual novels, with some simple puzzles thrown in. The voice acting is really nice and I appreciate this game's depiction of Poirot and Hastings. In terms of the narrative, it stays true to the original story its based on, which will appeal to new and old fans of all things Hercule Poirot alike. It doesn't overstay its welcome too and can easily be finished in 4-6 hours. Highly recommended to play on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
Great alternative to Frogware's Sherlock Holmes' games. If you are looking for a similar fix and tolerate a lower production value, you'll find it here. Obviously great source material that was respectfully adapted in this game. Well done, can recommend to adventure and detective games enthusiasts.
It's alright, the artstyle is a bit distracting, the animation is frequently odd ("She looks sad" with her unblinking, unmoving fish eyes), but Poirot is mostly in character, the story is a decent adaptation, several of the minigames are well implemented (except the clock, that one is shockingly unintuitive), and Mr. Cust was fantastic. I also like that, when you mess up a crime recreation, it's shown as Hastings excitedly interrupting you. One set of the achievements was incredibly hard for me, not because they are hidden or difficult, but because they come from making Poirot act WILDLY out of character, to the point I had to look up and follow a walk-through just to make sure I got them. All in all, not too bad a detective game or story adaptation, honestly.
Based on Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders book this game contains the real represantion of Hercule Poirot from Agatha mind.. Have to admit at first i was a bit dissapointed as wasn't expecting the game to be a clicker (As i played before the Death on the Nile and Orient Express) ..and wanted '' run '' with classic Poirot but since is a clicker game you cant really do it ..at least not in this one but after few minutes in the game once the mystery captivate me i started to enjoy everything about this amazing game. This game is 3D based clicker where you will have to click your way into solving the ABC murder ...if you played this game after the most recent one like Orient Express or Death on the Nile it will feel weird but you will get used to it especially if isnt your first clicker game. Somehow the voice of Poirot seems more real to the character...all others were good of course but something about this particular game makes it better...Also the graphics of the games feels good very good despite being like a cartoon. Story is quite beautiful and simple ...investigate ..interogate suspects and find the ABC killer. The only bad thing about this are the puzzles ..some of them are really hard and indeed put your little grey cells to work but you still have a solving solution if you really wanna give up ... In my opinion is a good game to play if you are a fan of mystery games and clicker games and most important a fan of Agatha Christie masterpiece !..Either way a game you must try at least once in your life !
