First I'll start with: this can be a fun, short little game to play for sure. It has a cute story and some fun gameplay mechanics. The only real problems I had were with how the mechanics were explained, and how difficult it can be to get certain combinations that you need to progress. It's a bit of a linear game truthfully, with not a lot of room to experiment and not a lot of variance for doing things, so I'd have to say wait for a sale for this one. I still think it's a fun game though despite that, so worth grabbing on sale.

I feel like most of the negative reviews are as negative as what they are because, as is common, the expectations people put onto a game does not end up meeting the reality of what that game is offering. The gameplay is shown clearly, there's no deception about what it's supposed to be; a shorter, simpler crafting game that's there to suppliment a simple story. And, I think it does what it's trying to do well. Not every game has to be some over the top, huge production. Some are meant to be simple, uncomplicated, and easier or a bit more relaxing. That's what this game is, that's what it wanted to be, and I believe it, again, did that just fine. If you want more in depth gameplay or a more wild story, go play a game that is offering that. If you want a game that's smaller and not meant to be some extravagant adventure, then this one is worth a go.

The game is really nice. The quest are interesting. It's just sad than we can't craft the philosopher stone. Would have been great for the end game !

tldr: 6/10, 3d concept of what Potion Craft could have been but with poor optimisation (frame drops), not very long (100% in 5 hours), poor ui and level structure (cosey and fun aesthetics though) and none of the QoL features and filtering that Potion Craft has. Could be so much more with all of these fixed/added. So much potential, but fun for what it is. But i do like the initial inspiration from the Thaumcraft mod from modded Minecraft.

It scratches the itch. There are some areas that could be polished or refined a bit, but overall if you just want to be a potion seller in your little shop then it's pretty good.
