For the price tag, it's not bad if you like turn-based games. I bought it for $1 before it was free and completed the campaign two or three times. That being said, the game seems half-baked. I don't mean that technically as I didn't find any bugs or issues, but things like varied environments and story are missing. +Time manipulation skills are pretty entertaining. Honestly they are OP once you get them all and get them upgraded. -The convo options seem mostly random which makes the whole process seem pointless. -The nemesis guys, once aggro'ed, must be killed (undo and rewind do not work on them) as they will prevent you leaving combat to engage in mission-critial dialog. So yeah, a decent if not great game. I really enjoyed some of the combat and warping around with traceback and rewind. However, I kept getting the feeling like this game was the opening act in something greater that never materialized. That's a real shame because I was getting that "your boss/organization isn't really who/what you think they are" kind of vibe which fits the game perfectly.

I liked the fresh and unused setting. I digged the dark dystopian artstyle and the combination from 2d sprites with little to no animation with the 3d enviroment. The music fits like a glove and builds most of the atmosphere. (I enjoyed it even tho it's not really my genre...). The story is confusing and not finished (and afaik won't be) but what's there is pretty good. While the basic game uses the same portraits all the time, the new game plus adds a lot more of variety. (There are even some female faces & names... for male npcs?). The daily missions are... a good challenge @_@ Well and here are the three bummers that nearly ruined the experience for me: The name-game: There are several dialouges where you have to pick the right name. But there is no hint what's the right name. And if you reverse the time to pick another option the names are completly different. And sometimes there is no right option. All you can do is waste ressources and hope that the right option appears and is the one you pick. I've messed up a dozen of missions because of this. (Spoiler: Leveling up the Pheromones helps a lot. ) Writing a list isn't helpful as the effects of the names change too. The difficulty: The game get's pretty soon pretty hard. You have to pick the right items from the shop asap or it will be a real pita. (Spoiler: Having only the Cyberarm equipped and all the guards, drones and scanners ignore you. Sucks in the -one- mission where you have to kill someone but it is doable. Also, if you restart the campagne until this mission is the first the rest is a piece of cake. ) The last one won't hurt non-achievement-hunters but there is NO help for "Decisive Campaign". I had to record my gameplay and rewatch it after each mission to be sure that the effing timer doesn't run out. I have no clue how you do this without save scumming (Spoiler: C:\Users\xyz\AppData\Local\ProjectDisco\Saved\SaveGames\AWMF_0.sav ).

This is a very exciting little experiments with X-com style strategy combat games. The main gameplay loop is very exciting and does a neat little thing where you see playbacks of your fights at the end of them, turning what seemed like a slow step-by-step process into a super-quick, almost John-Wick style shootout. Ironically, this is something that John Wick Hex tried to do and was less successful in my opinion. The style of the game is very exciting and I was intrigued by the plot. My only complaint is that there isn't a lot of variety here and most missions play out relatively similarly. Aside from that, I honestly wish more games would emulate this style of gamplay.

Thoroughly enjoyed this title. It's not a super deep, time intensive game, it's more 'pick-up & play' for a quick session. However the one drawback is no save function in-mission, so make sure you have a clear 30-45 mins to complete the later stages. Despite that I highly recommend!

ALL WALLS MUST FALL means I have to buy a cyberfist to punch in walls of course, suitable for dramatic entrances and so on. Diplomacy is an option for dealing with potential hostiles, but really it's when you've got to get violent is when things get silly. You have the ability to rewind time for everyone, for yourself, or for everyone but yourself. This can lead to stupid situations like you blow up a wall, shoot your way through to the target, then rewind everyone else's time so that everything is fixed again, only you're standing in front of your unsuspecting target with no one the wiser. Or fill someone with bullets, rewind your personal time so that your gun is full of bullets again, shoot more, rewind time so that you're standing back in the doorway, which is where all the mooks are pouring into the room from, so that you can punch them all in the head with your cyberfist. Even if you get killed you can rewind back to a point where you're alive again. This all costs time. You get time from exploring, combat, interactions, mission objectives. As long as you have time, you can do pretty much anything. If you have no time left, you're dead permanently. Then once you're happy with the outcome, you fix the timeline in place and the game replays all of your actions. Walls explode and un-explode while a giant communist cyber-bear blows through a gay nightclub punching his way through heads and furniture while appearing in every corner of the building all at the same time then everyone's dead and he's driving off in his car. All backed up with moody electronic music and grimy visuals. Having a fun time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up time so far. Tip for anyone trying it though, save up for the rifle rather than buying the shotgun or smg. That and the fist will carry you all the way through if you arent trying for a pacifist run.
