Alright, I won't bs you. This game is not worth it for the price. If you want it, buy it when it's on sale. The devs abandoned this project a long time ago, so don't expect any further updates. That all being said, this game is actually pretty good for a open world survival craft. Despite the lack of content, it is very relaxing and effing beautiful. The graphics are the best I've seen in a while along with it's calming music. The map is quite large and mostly empty if you ask me and gets boring after putting in many hours, but I would still give it a chance if there is a sale.

I understand people saying it's not finished and being upset that it's abandoned, but its rainy outside and I wanted a chill pretty game to unwind without characters and their problems or high stakes QTEs. I play on hard mode so the simple things I can do are still satisfying. I'm happy with a little cabin I can decorate and a pet fox. I may not lose myself in this game for hours and weeks at a time, but sometimes all you need is a little bite of an experience here and there when you're in-between. If you're looking for something simple and peaceful when its a tea and blankets day, this is a good game for it. EDIT: Be sure not to take too long choosing what items to cook at the stove. Time is still passing and you WILL starve to death.

This has a lot of negative reviews. Some justified, most about how this game is "unfinished". I'd say, excluding the "version 0.5.41" label on the top there's nothing in here that's unfinished. There's content I would've liked to see, but ultimately it is a great game that doesn't overstay it's welcome (7h normally, 13h for me because I couldn't find the damn puffball mushroom). I played this on zen mode, there are no enemies in this mode and it's the best way to play. This is a very smell the roses kind of survival game, a rarity. It could've executed some things differently to properly capitalise on that but the mood that the visuals and sound set more than makes up for the more standard survival elements. I would recommend this game. Could've really benefited from just having the mechanics be slower. The fishing should have more waiting, the day should pass slower, the sprint button shouldn't exist, etc. It also really could've benefited from a wiki.

Look. I know everyone's perception of a good survival game had been skewed. They want replay value, they want procedural generation, they want 5000+ crafting recipes, etc. This game is not for the people who wanted that. Don't get me wrong, the game definitely need polish and regular patches and it's sad that they are never getting that. But it's not a bad game. The world is breathtaking, especially at night. Building your own cabin is satisfying. Foraging then cooking your meals is satisfying. The crafting is very streamlined and basic. I had 17 hours in this game and I still want to play it from time to time. I played Raft for 7 hours across different period of time and honestly I'm bored. Just because the game have more content does not mean it will be more fun. Just because this game lacks content does not mean you cannot enjoy it. Definitely be noted that this game is no longer being updated, but give it a chance if you are interested.
