Great singleplayer experience, especially with the campaign. Controls are very clunky but manageable once you play around with it. Squad controls are okay, not something i like since it can be difficult to keep them controlled and alive. At some point, there are going to be some micro for your squad which can be annoying. On that note, missions need to be done repeatedly to be successful, atleast in my case. Gunplay feels great, love how satisfying destroying enemy vehicles feels like. There's no server available, if you guys want to play multiplayer you should do LAN or something like himachi/RadminVPN. I dont understand how the editor works, but i like how it can just be used to be like TABS. Also, for anyone who knows other games similar to this, please let me know. I know Arma 2 and 3 have singleplayer missions, but do they have a narrative? this game does, and i like it. Makes it more personal imo. Thanks for reading my review
This game has a place in my heart....it isnt Arma: Cold War Assault. It's Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. I still remember when I was 11, and my dad, sister and I took turns playing this game on the family PC. 25 years ago, when so many things were different. It's not even the game that I love so much, it's playing it and going back in time when life was much better. And it's all packed into an .iso that's less than 1GB.
