Asleep Act 1 & 2 delivers an experience that truly balances psychological tension, deep narrative and immersive world-building. The storyline is exceptionally well-crafted and the pacing keeps you hooked from start to finish. What makes Asleep even more special is its clear Brazilian identity. The cultural references, specially on act 2, the environments and subtle details give it a unique flavor that sets it apart from typical indie horror games. It proudly embraces its roots without compromising the universal appeal of the horror genre, which brazilians know it can be hard to balance. If you're a fan of Silent Hill, for example, you'll immediately connect with the oppressive atmosphere, disturbing sound design, and the psychological dread that lingers after you close the game. It realy tries to capture that same feeling of isolation, surreal horror and emotional discomfort that defined classic psychological horror. 5/5

Asleep - Ato 1 is the first chapter (out of ???) of a side scrolling / point and click hybrid horror game. It’s very well made! It takes very direct inspiration from Silent Hill 1 with numerous nods. You explore a town and then a school, with a dynamic map that updates as you find points of interest. There is no combat, but there is combat-like mechanics with your flashlight that requires timing and strategy. Overall, it’s pretty great. Very good pixel art, some fun puzzles, good music, etc. It’s not the most original, and I wish there were a bit more puzzles, but for being a low cost indie game it scratches the itch well. DISCLAIMER - for act 2, I would wait for now. See my review there but the act is unplayable, way too buggy. It needs serious patching. Super disappointing

I can't wait for the second chapter of "Asleep"! Pros: - Intriguing story that leaves me interested in filling in the blanks - Fun mechanics that had their challenges to solve - Good puzzles, good clues - Beautiful artwork and point-n-click graphics - Spooky moments Pro / Con (depending on who you are) - Not too spooky that you're freaking out and jam buttons, or find the challenge impossible Cons: - There isn't much of a challenge when it comes to health / resource management, buuuut I'm also a bit ok with that; maybe there will be levels later on, but it also allows you to enjoy the atmosphere /story, and not worry too much I honestly don't have big gripes; this was a fun, attention-catching game that leaves me eager for the next chapter! A solid A+, spoopy, heartfelt point-n-click. <3 Highly recommend!
