BEST GAME EVER! As a kid I watch Gloom play Sally Face for the first time and I was hypnotised by the characters, art style and storyline. I've always been into the paranormal, so I knew this game was going to be up my alley. Finally being able to play after years of not having the time or money has been absolutely breathtaking. From watching someone else play to being able to play the game myself has been a 180 and knowing the second game is around the corner created and even more nostalgic moment for me! I highly recommend for anyone who had been on the fence about the game to play it, as it tells a story of friendship, heartbreak and thrill!
Insanely goated game with a gripping story, exceeded any expectation I had plus the art style gave me such nostalgia of a time when people poured literally everything into an idea they had to craft a story like this, without all the ai bull that I see everywhere nowadays (please take me back to 2016), especially cause the project is all the work of a single person! Eagerly awaiting the sequel
Hard to believe that this slighty amateurish looking p&c adventure centered around a boy ( yes... ) with a prostetic mask is one of the best games in the genre. but here we are. meet sally face and his friends and learn about his terrible past and the disturbing events around him. One warning though: the game shifts from psychological horror to good old fashioned paranormal horror over the course of the game, which isn't really my cup of tea. but an amazing game nonetheless. And after 10 years the sequel is announced...
I always though about watching someone play this but I sure am glad as hell I didn't Beat this game at the time of writing this and I am going to buy episodes 2-5 It is wonderful, the story, the style, and the characters icl, also it's best to go into this game completely blind like all games 9/10 I'll update this review after I've played and beaten episodes 2-5
this game. holy f*ck this game. i've been a fan of this game for around 9 years through watching gloom's let's plays on youtube. watching people play this game is fun, but playing it yourself is an experience. i find myself relating to sal so heavily. when i came out, i named myself after him. him and i share so many character traits, and thats the beautiful thing about this game. you can relate to so many different characters because they all have different stories. the dialogue, the gameplay. the choices, they're all so magnificent. this game is so much more than it appears to be. i'm so excited for the second game to release, and i hope to continue to grow up with this game as i have these few years.
