Title: Audiosurf 2 Summary: Indie rhythm game Personal notes: Audiosurf 2 is a unique rhythm game with quite a few different modes. I originally bought this game solely for a moving background visualiser but had a pretty fun time with the game itself, keep in mind I am a pretty big fan of rhythm games in general such as rocksmith or DDR so I would only recommend this game if you are looking for that. The overall level and sound design is well done and you can (with some difficulty now) play any song you would like. I personally did not play the first one so I cannot compare this one to it but I have heard mixed opinions. I will say I am pretty dissapointed that they removed the option to use YouTube directly as that was way easier than what you have to do now, but I have a feeling that was mandated by Youtube. Achievement wise a few are difficult and a few are just tedious. A few I had trouble with I listed below, such as playing 65 daily songs (only works in a beta mode now) or earning a crazy amount of points in a specific game mode. All in all, the community and game itself is unfortunately not what it used to be. I would only recommend this game if you are a pretty big rhythm fan or if it goes on sale. With that in mind though it is a decent game, and for 20$ I feel like I got my money's worth... even if most of it was spent as a moving screensaver. Time it took to complete: 34hrs Most difficult achievement(s): - Song of the Day 65 (Ride 65 different Songs of the Day.) - Audiosurf Air (Using a Wakeboard mode, catch over 11 seconds of air.) - Tres Commas (Using Mono mode, earn 1 billion points (cumulatively).) Better customization than the first game and ability to stream songs makes this an all around better experience and it's a fun game when you want to play and listen to music. The music streaming was taken down but you can get it back with a patch if you follow the most popular Steam Guide.

It's fine. There's not much of a reason to buy both games because they're too similar. This one has the bonus of having workshop support and is built in Unity instead of Quest3D. It feels and looks more modern, but I find that I prefer the game rules of the original game. This game is, and always has been, less popular than the original. The leaderboards are even less filled out in this game, so if that matters to you, go with Audiosurf 1.

A pretty chill game It's a good game to spend your evening listening to some music and trying to get the rythm to get maximum score. Especially great with the mod to upload YouTube URL links, if you don't have any songs downloaded on your PC. Totally worth it!

It's a better version of the first game. I'd suggest using the mod that allows you to take tracks from YouTube, though.
