This game is considered “abandoned.” What does that mean? In this case, it means that the game is fully released for a 1.0 release, but there will be no further content updates. But is that a bad thing? I had a lot of fun with this game. It’s way more involved than previous games in the crew series, with WAY more customization. I find myself remapping driving controls over camera controls, because I found that driving was far more important to manage. And it’s very fun. It’s your own personal Mad Max, with the occasional sandstorm. There is a story, and it’s completeable. The final boss is unique, and I find myself going back just to fight it again. I’d love for this game to get more updates, as it’s become one of my favorites, but that just isn’t in the cards. I’ve got a bunch of hours in this game, and I consider having got my money’s worth. Not every game has to have constant updates in order to be fun or for you to get your moneys worth. There was ONE mechanic that required online play, where you could summon a random players’ truck to help you out, and that’s no longer in due to the cut support. And that’s ok. It sucks, but it doesn’t affect the gameplay overall. The only wish I have would be for this game to have workshop support, just to give it additional life. Even without that, you’ll still have a lot of fun playing this game, building your own war rig, and ramming clown cars into the dirt.
Kinda like a great sitcom with an ok start my first few hours weren't amazing then I got hooked. This game and bomber crew have become some of my favorite games that feel like a complete experience in ~40 hours. Definitely worth a buy if you like the idea of a open world mad max exploration game with a crew management and tons of vehicle customization!
If you have played other Runner Duck games before, you probably like the concept of being able to build your own war machine. This game delivers that concept, you will be able to build your own land-battle-truck with ton of customization, multi-tasking and micro-managing your own crews during a mission from driving to assigning them to a position and activate their own skills individually to assist you during a mission. But this game is not thoroughly polished still have several flaws: - The game last update was at least 10 months ago since it came out - Horrible optimization: You will be playing with 10-30 FPS later in the game - Some part of the game are not translated and still in Russian (nothing serious) - Your gunners AI is rather questionable - I also agreed with that guy in the review that I hate escort mission where the NPC is slower than your Medium speed but faster than your Slow speed I enjoyed this game like other Runner Duck games, this game have a new building concept for them and it could've been better, if you want to try it then its better to wait for a sale. Gameplay length is more than 30 hours main story-wise.
