Phenomenal game, it is a huge improvement from the first Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance game in terms of gameplay, gem upgrades, abilities, etc. I never had a dull moment playing it, it is fun from beginning to end! It ends with a cliffhanger, but it does not interfere with this game's story in any way, hopefully a third Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance game will be made eventually. I would like to play the Champions of Norrath games again, if/when they come to Steam, I and I am sure many others would pick them up!

Its a fun classic Co-op game for those who have siblings they can play with this is a two player game, but it can also double as a single player campaign, Its a fun hack & Slash you attack every enemy with a one button but theres also spells depending on which character you pick, in the 1st game you had three choices, human warrior, dwarf warrior, and elven soccerress, in this game you get to pick from 5 characters one i havent played them all, but its exactly like dark alliance 1 but you start out at a higher level and have more options and are thrown right into it vs slowly climbing up from nothing which is nice. i like both, climbing up from nothing but also starting out at level 8 i think? It's a good classic hack & slash and easier on older systems given it was originally a game for the ps2 and xbox.

Played this on PS2 way back, this was the shit for me and my brother. Beat the game literally over 1000+ times in couch co-op. Goated with the sauce fr fr zayum

my wife and i loved playing this on the PS2, getting to relive those adventures on steam is a blast. yes im old, but this game is just plain fun and easy to get into character building.

The original Dark Alliance is one of my all time favorite games mainly because I have so many good memories playing it when I was young. I never got around to playing much of this one (II) because only my friend owned it. I decided to try it out. It's basically a more polished version of the 1st game with additional textures and more interesting creatures. Otherwise, it feels the exact same. Compared to today's game (even similar ones like Gauntlet or Children of Morta) it's quite simple and the combat is super repetitive. I would recommend it to people who don't like super complex games or maybe if you want something pretty easy to play while also watching YT videos or something. It's also one of the few local co-op games on PC. Otherwise I think younger players will get bored easily, especially since we have things like Baldur's Gate 3 out now. My main complaint is probably the price. The original game was like $20 on PS2 and I realize that ports take effort and inflation exists but $30 still seems a bit steep IMO.
