The perfect game for people who want to run a café without developing a stress disorder. I absolutely LOVE this game. It has exactly the kind of cozy, relaxing gameplay I look for in a simulator. No ridiculous timers, no angry customers screaming at me because their pasta took 0.7 seconds too long, just me, my café, some delicious Italian food and the occasional glass of Prosecco. I especially love that you can play completely at your own pace. You can prepare ingredients beforehand, cook dishes when you feel like it, upgrade your restaurant, make your own wine, explore the surrounding areas, and slowly build your café into exactly what you want. And then there are the achievements. I LOVE achievements. If a game has achievements, my brain immediately goes: “Oh, we're getting 100%.” So naturally, I've been trying to unlock every single one. You have a cat... You can play with the cat, BUT YOU CAN'T PET THE CAT. Please, developers. I have built an entire café, mastered Italian cuisine, made wine and basically become the Gordon Ramsay of vacation cafés. LET ME PET THE CAT. I also think the decorating could use more options. I absolutely love being able to customize the café and my house, but give me MORE decorations. Overall, though, this is a fantastic cozy simulator. It's relaxing, fun, has plenty to do, and actually lets you enjoy the game at your own pace. Let there be more decorations. Highly recommended!
In four words: I LOOOOOOOVE this game! In more words: This is exactly what I want in a shop/restaurant simulation game. Absolutely no stress at all! I often buy shop sims that say they are stress-free, only to soon get disappointed when I realize that there are angry customers in the game, long queues in front of my register, or time limits that you need to stick to in order to get good points. I have that in real life, I don't want it in my game. In this game, however, there is none of that! This is a game about a perfect life. A life as a café owner in Italy, where you just decorate your café, talk to nice people, walk around a wonderfully cozy little town that reminds you of real vacation memories, cook good food (that actually looks delicious too!!), and serve it to happy customers. Even if you leave the café for hours (or maybe days), you know that your customers will still be sitting there happily waiting at their tables when you get back. And if you would even find that stressful, you can just turn your café sign to "Closed," and there won't be any customers at all while you're away. I also love that the cooking part is really easy. I don't want hundreds of steps just to make a pizza, or things burning on the stove. I just want to click, click, and it's done, and that's exactly what this game gives you (without getting boring, I might add). It's super easy, but there are still so many different cooking options that it doesn't get repetitive. The graphics in this game are wonderful! It's the perfect mix between reality and fiction. I love that the food looks so good! It's so cozy just strolling around town, meeting people, and going into different little stores. And diving for oysters was a really nice surprise for me, I did not expect that! I have only played this game for a couple of hours since I bought it on release day yesterday, but I wanted to write this to encourage the developers to continue their amazing work! I haven't noticed any bugs or anything to complain about at all, and I look forward to continuing to play and discovering more! I also can't wait to see how far I can go by scooter, since so far I've only been walking around close to my café. What I wish for in the future: To make this the absolute perfect game, I would love to be able to live somewhere in town as well. It would be awesome if I could buy a little apartment or house somewhere that I could get to on foot or by Vespa, decorate it with furniture and decorations from the shops in town, and just live a cozy life between my shifts at the café. I would love to relax on my balcony with a view of the beach, or sit in my little living room (maybe with the cat) and just enjoy the peace and quiet. Please make that happen!! I also hope that I will be able to decorate the office in my café as well. There can never be too much decorating in a game like this! Keep up the good work, guys!
Definitely glad I picked this one up. The first hour of gameplay I was thinking this was too simple. But as I progressed so did the recipes and I found remembering each recipe was fun and challenging, although the recipe is available any time you need it. I also didn't think there would be as much customization of your kitchen as there is. In the 5 hours I've played I've rearranged everything 3 times. Its still a cozy game with no clock (except the gorgeous day/night cycle), no timers (customers will sit patiently for as long as it takes), if you don't like making a certain dish then just take it off the menu, don't want to do deliveries then turn off the phone, want to decorate your place you can close up anytime or just let the customers sit and wait. This is not a detailed cooking sim, its a cafe experience, you shop for and find ingredients, use a very simple interface to slice/mix/cook/plate, then take it to your customers. You will not be measuring or timing anything. If you want that complexity this is not the game for you.
OPTIMISE THE GAME. It's fun, great concept, was really excited to play the full thing after the demo. But 50-60fps average, super stuttery... I'm running every bit of optimisation I can while on medium settings and it just runs horribly. And I'm almost certain they are using AI art, which is disappointing. I could be wrong though and not that serious. But I won't leave a negative review because they could fix this, soon I hope. Cyberpunk 2077 runs far better than this.
Only 2.2 hours in so far (I had to stop because sleep unfortunately won 😂), but I’m really enjoying this. I really liked the idea of running a cute little café in Italy, and the game has pretty much delivered exactly what I was hoping for. It’s colourful, chilled and has a really nice Italian café/restaurant vibe. The gameplay is similar to other café/management games, but what I really like is that there’s no pressure. There are no timers forcing you to rush around, so you can just take your time, prepare things and enjoy the game at your own pace. There’s still plenty to do though, with different things to discover, unlock and work towards. Even this early on, I can already see myself sinking quite a few hours into it. The graphics are really nice and colourful, the controls are simple and intuitive, and travelling around to different shops to buy ingredients adds a nice little extra layer to the gameplay. The music can get a little repetitive initially, but there’s a music shop where you can buy new songs, so you can change things up as you progress. I’m only a couple of hours in, so I obviously haven’t seen everything the game has to offer yet, but there already seems to be plenty of variety and progression to keep me interested. And yes… there’s a cat you can play with. 🐈😂 Cute, colourful, relaxing and just a really nice game to switch off with. Solid 8/10 so far. Definitely worth checking out if you like chilled-out café/management games.
