Batman - The Telltale Series is a solid mid-tier game with glimpses of greatness. The story has a few unexpected moments but is mostly predictable. The gameplay is classic Telltale, with an interesting new feature, investigation and clue linking. A great choice to pass a couple of evenings.

The most interesting thing about this title is that it might be the first "Bruce Wayne" game, at least it's the first one I've ever encountered. You'll likely spend at least as much time as Wayne as you will behind the iconic cowl in this title, which allows for some interesting storytelling. Otherwise this is the standard "Choose Your Own Adventure" book type game that Telltale became famous for. Most of the decisions you make will be in the form of time-sensitive dialog choices. The game giving you a few seconds to decide whether you want your Bruce/Batman to be more noble and empathetic, brutal and brooding or somewhere in-between. This and a handful of slightly more major decisions will determine how much various characters like you and in what order certain plot events will play out. The destination is mostly preordained but the journey will vary based on your choices. This is NOT an action game, the mechanics for action scenes show them as mostly an afterthought. Consisting of simple quick-time events, the price for failure being an immediate reload to right before you died. Pros: -Excellent voice acting really helps the game feel immersive. -Good artwork -A nice Batman story to experience with some interesting new takes on familiar characters. Cons: -Gameplay mechanics are pretty stale, betraying the diminishing returns of the "one size fits all" approach to storytelling that ultimately destroyed Telltale games. -It feels like there's less ways to meaningfully change the story outside of how characters react to you than in "The Wolf Among Us" which is the only other Telltale game I've played. While that game was also based on a DC comic, I imagine the writers on this title had their hands tied by Warner Brothers licensing more in regards to what characters could do and how they could be depicted. -If you're looking for an action adventure game rather than a character driven story like you might see in a TV show or movie (or the more modern Batman comics) you will most likely hate this. I would recommend sticking to the excellent Arkham Batman series of games instead.

classic Telltale game, fun story buy because a fan type Telltale game, stay for engaging story good for starter for who don't know batman deep story from begin, so much new information for a casual knowing Batman. only hope they use more darker/edgy style (design and color), Telltale style too colourful for a Batman things that why i cant say "I'm Batman" (i'm not feeling using/become a Batman) more like "Hi I'm Bruce" Recommended.

This was such a great Batman game. Loved the story and all the choices. Had a great time playing it that i did it in one sitting. Absolutely would recommend this game to anyone who loves Batman and loves story games. I am excited to play the second Batman Telltale game after this one because this was excellent writing and story telling.
