this was a fun little game, nothing too elaborate, but even then i had to look up tips every now and then. the jumpscares were paced out well enough not to get boring and i really liked the soundscape! gameplay is linear, so no need to be afraid of getting lost.

Listen, I don't care what anyone says. I actually did like this game. I'm a horror fan, and although it was nothing over the top, it is a good, short, indie horror game. Nothing super creepy, and usually I can about predict the jump scares, but it did get me several times. I also played it with headphones and a little loud just for the full effect. Some decent little puzzles. Again, nothing over the top, but it's a CHEAP horror game.

It took me about 2hrs45mins to get through this game and only missed 1 Achievement having to do with 'observation' and may have been a pair of glasses, not sure. Overall, I loved the ambient environment that was built around the story. My only takeaway is some of the story wasn't told entirely and left me wondering more about 'what' went on and 'what' the end result(s) of our investigation were. Outside of that its a worthwhile play and has potential for whatever titles they may work on next; give it a go and see for yourself! Side note, it'd go great in a series of games if you're wanting to sit down and play 1-3 games in a day or perhaps recording videos, etc.

Very good game. I really enjoyed Life after Death and it's still one of the scariest walking sims that I've played so far, but Beside Myself is a well made game as well, especially when you take the time to get the 'real' ending. It actually had no bugs. I just had to restart from a savepoint once because I got stuck in a room but that was only because I missed a detail. Just be aware that if you use Continue, the loading time is quite long. Don't give up, it will eventually get there.
