Actually a fun game to play with your homies, kinda worth the discount I'd say. The character illustrations are gorgeous (kudos to Konomi Higuchi), the HUD is engaging, and the tag battle system is definitely a fun concept. Okay, enough of that. Now to the cons part. I don’t really see the necessity of having a lobby system in the game, especially since there are no minigames to justify it. The same goes for the microtransactions tied to DLC from pre-existing IPs. The pixel models are basically ripped-off assets from pre-existing games (save for certain IPs), which is disappointing. Since this is a collaboration game, why not create entirely new models? That way, the characters wouldn’t look so out of place next to each other. The same issue applies to the cut-in illustrations, really look off. The mechanics are… a bit too simple. Subjective, I know. I’m not an expert in fighting games, but based on other titles I’ve played, something feels slightly lacking. The input for switching between characters could definitely use some adjustment. Why not map that function to the shoulder buttons instead? That way, the game wouldn’t need to reduce the number of attack buttons. I also kinda wish there were an option to manually charge meter. It’s not an issue in BBCF, but for some reason, this game feels like it could really benefit from having a meter charge mechanic. The general UI could use a bit more polish as well. It’s easy enough to navigate, sure, but it’s not nearly as engaging as the in-battle HUD. For example, they could sort the BGMs by category, such as by game or series to make the selection feel less cluttered. And what do you mean there’s an opening movie that doesn’t even play when you start the game?! Occasionally, the game also gets a bit laggy, but I’ll blame my device for that, even though the system requirements are quite low. Overall, I’d give it a 6.9 out of 10. Mostly because Arcsys left this game to rot. Damn you Arcsys.

I absolutely love this game. It’s extremely easy to pick up and have a good time. The skill floor is pretty low. Only 2 primary attack buttons, auto combos and easy motion inputs. I’ve played a lot of BBCF and a little bit of Under Night, but both have a much higher skill floor. I can see why long time BB fans might not like this one, but I’m not looking at this as a mainline game.

now idk how to rate this but I think i know this is perfect for people that don't know how to play fighters and want something to start with? in my short time playing i pressed two buttons and occasionally a third, this game is beyond easy to do a good enough combo its crazy like- im almost certain you could win with one hand. if youre looking for an easy beginner game then this is the BEST for learning fundamentals because if you refuse or fail to block then say goodbye to most of your health. unfortunately when i played there where LITERALLY no rooms and i was lucky enough to have a friend that bought it to try it out.
