Bleach was a show that I LOVED watching. I enjoyed every episode. In my opinion, this game was above my expectations. The soundtrack (which people hated a lot) was different relatively to the show but GOOD (Mostly Yoruichi and Soi fon's Awk theme), the SFX (Sonido, Counter, etc..) were awesome as well, the character design is very above what I would expect on an anime based game (Characters design in bleach is quite unique, I'm impressed with the amount of details), the graphics are alike to what I imagined it would be and the cutscenes are well timed and smooth. Being honest, I'm more of a Solo type of player, I never really enjoyed playing pvp (mostly due to my internet issues), but in this game even the pvp caught my attention and hooked me to it. Story mode is impressive, although I'm quite sad they didn't add the anime-only arcs (Bount Arc, Zanpakuto Unknown Tales Arc, The New Captain Shusuke Amagai Arc, etc..) I would love playing with Kariya, Koten Kyokotsu or Amagai. This far, the TYBW arc (Thousand-Year Blood War) has already revealed many new characters, I was surprised there were no characters from that Arc and the only four who are available are through DLCs (To be honest, it's fair. I believe they want to let the anime release the last season before adding the TYBW storyline in story mode and the characters). Lastly, in a negative side of my opinion, I'm quite disappointed that the Fullbringers aren't there considering they are from the manga and anime, I'm a big Riruka fan and would love to find out how they would make her character (maybe love gun and dollhouse) and Ginjou would also be an awesome character to play with in Online versus. If you've read this far, I hope to have shared my opinion without having missed anything big and I would be glad that this helped you if you want to download this game.

The game is getting good changes and is like basically completely differnen from launch. Netcode for me in eu is actually not bad ive not had matches where i couldnt like move or anything or feel super incredibly miserable. Although only get it if you are a bleach fan or want to experience the bleach story in a shorter format (game is beautifull)

Retired competitive street fighter player and fighting game fanatic here; I've played almost every fighting game out there at some point in my life and it's rare that I find a fighter that I enjoy enough to play more than 3-4 hours. The first thing I do whenever I try a new fighting game is immediately go into training mode and try out all the characters, if I find one I like I'll learn a couple of combos and then jump online and play a few games casually. That's usually where it ends for me, except for on those rare occasions where I had so much fun that I'm laying in bed and replaying the matches in my head while thinking to myself "I really should've done this when he did that, I really want to see if I can get this to connect to that, or I wonder if I can dodge that and do this." Well, Rebirth of souls was like for me. The audio, the visuals, and the game play are overflowing with style; Every fight feels like an episode of the anime as flashy transformations and cinematic supers are an integral part of the game play loop - which brings me to my next point, the game play. Each game has 2-3 "acts" depending on the characters you choose and how you play. Act 1: Both characters are in base form, the pacing is casual, you're playing footsies, building special meter, and patiently awaiting your evolution. Act 2: Your evolution is ready and you activate bankai, after a brief cinematic transformation you're now in a powered up state with most characters gaining access to a completely different move set, ability, or gimmick to utilize during the remainder of the battle. The pacing is faster now and the stakes are higher. Act 3: If the battle goes on long enough both players will eventually enter into sublimation, which is the final act. In sublimation each character gains access to their most powerful cinematic super (kikon move), able to take more lives from the opponent than usual. it essentially turns the game into a winner takes all scenario where the next player to land their kikon wins. One of the really unique mechanics at play in Rebirth of souls is that the goal is to reduce the number of your opponents lives to 0 by landing kikon moves, every character has 2-3 kikon moves that change depending on what state they are in (base, transformed, or sublimation) and each subsequent move takes more lives if you land it. For the characters that only have 2 moves they are usually able to power up their second move to take more lives with an in battle gimmick. Kikon moves can be blocked or dodged if the intended target is above 15% health. After 15 percent the kikon move is guaranteed to hit if you land it; However, you can take 1 extra life from your opponent if you decide reduce their health bar to 0. So it becomes an extra layer of strategy, do you want to take what you can now or hold out for the possibility of more later. While there are so many things I can praise this game for, There is one glaring issue that seems to be the fate of every anime fighter, and that is this: That some characters are simply better than others. Seriously, Over 30 characters on the roster at launch and in over 80 hours of game play I've only ever consistently played against the same 6 characters. Ichigo, Aizen, Unohana, Yoruichi, Ulquiorra, and more recently Ichibe. Why? Because they have better gimmicks, stronger attack power, greater combo potential, a more diverse variety of tools utilize, an insta-kill move, the ability to take extra lives when using kikon moves, the ability to regenerate health, and even the ability to resurrect after defeat (Aizen can ressurrect twice in one match). If your goal is to win games then these characters are no brainers. If you decide to play a character other than the big 6 then be prepared to be at a significant disadvantage and be prepared to have to work much harder to secure wins. I'm an above average player but I lose 70 percent of my matches because I play lower tier characters, none the less, I enjoy the challenge of overcoming adversity - clearly I'm having fun so I'm going to recommend this game, it's a total gem and I pray it doesn't slip into obscurity after the first round of dlc (as is also the fate of every anime fighter.)

So I did it. I 100% Bleach: Rebirth of Soul. All achievements. Every. Last. One. I am now legally more powerful than Yamamoto and clinically more insane than Mayuri Kurotsuchi on a caffeine binge. This game has consumed more of my time, dignity, and spiritual energy than any hollow ever could. Let’s get one thing straight: the combat? Crack. Absolute spiritual methamphetamine. It’s like they distilled every shonen scream, every sword clash, every “BANKAI!” moment into a gameplay loop that hits harder than Kenpachi on a blind date. Pulling off combos feels so good, I started yelling attack names in my living room. My neighbors called the police. Worth it. But now for the part where the soul chain starts cracking: the roster. For a game called Bleach: Rebirth of Soul, you’d think there’d be more souls to actually rebirth. The lack of fan favorite playable characters is borderline criminal—how do you drop a Bleach game in 2025 and still forget half the fan favorites? It’s like the devs got halfway through the cast list and said, “Eh, that’s enough spirit pressure for one game.” Also, the ranking matches. Oh sweet hollowed-out hell, the ranking matches. Climbing the ladder felt like going through every stage of grief, twice, while being teabagged by RNG and carried by lag. I’ve seen more disconnects and rage quits than I’ve seen my family. I now know the exact frame Ichigo blinks right before getting one-shotted by some 12-year-old with godlike reflexes and a questionable connection. Please send help. Still, here I am. Enlightened. Broken. Achievements complete. Spiritually reborn and also spiritually bankrupt. I would probably do it again if they release another story DLC and ruin my life further.

If you're seeing this and don't know wether to buy the game or not, be aware that most if not (almost) all negative reviews come from the game crashing on PC release, to this day everything has been fixed as far as I can tell. That said, the game's great, story mode is the most fun I've had in a fighting game's story mode in, well, my whole life I would say, as I'm not a fighting game fan myself. On the other hand, if you don't know if the PvP is worth it, just check some youtube videos, fights are cool af, mostly visually but still extremely fun to play. All in all, if you're into bleach it's definitely worth it.
