I really wanted to like this game and if I was better at video games it would have probably clicked for me. I enjoyed the parcouring a lot and wish the game was more focused on it instead of fighting enemies. I got hardstuck on the level where you ring the bell. I simply can't kill all the enemies. I still want to recommend this one because I don't feel like the game deserves a bad review over a skill issue.

First off - I wasn't a person who played the demo, or was following along with the games progress on youtube. I saw the most recent video announcing the games release, and thought I'd check it out. And as someone who has no ties to this game - I can say it's pretty good. It has its fair share of issues, but the gameplay is great, and it's very fun to go back and speedrun prior levels to get the best rank. To me, this game feels like if Neon White was actually done well. I never liked neon white much, it forces you into very, very bad dialogue segments constantly, and your characters move speed is absurdly slow for a SPEEDRUN game. This game is ALL about the gameplay - go fast, kill things fast, and die, a lot. The artstyle is nothing incredible, just old school quake, though its not bad. In fact, there were actually some parts of the game which actually surprised me at how good it looked. Music is very good. No comments. Story is practically non existent, but I'm sure there'd be a lot of lore if you're into that type of thing just from the vibes the game gave off. That being said, I do have two decently sized issues that did annoy me throughout my playthrough. First off, air control. You pretty much have no control over where you fly in the air which can lead to some very frustrating deaths. As soon as I unlocked the weapon that gives you greater air control I equipped it and never unequipped it. The fact that there's a weapon that fixes my biggest problem with the game feels like the dev saw the issue, didn't want to edit the maps to fix it, and slapped a bandaid on it and called it a day. Second issue is relatively small, but in the later levels there are these ogre guys, who are absurdly difficult to kill for no real reason. It could absolutely be a skill issue, but when you die in one hit a lot of the time it can be really annoying. (Also could we PLEASE give them at least one more voice line? Please?) Overall, it's worth the money, and I am going to go and speedrun these levels in an attempt to unlock the secret ones. 8/10. (final level was amazing btw) EDIT: In the most recent patch notes, the air control thing was fixed. Now all the weapons in the game have higher air control, and just in case I had anything to do with that change, thanks for listening to me blargis! Oh, and while the Ogres weren't nerfed or anything, the level where they are absolutely the most annoying was nerfed. All the positive things I said stay the same.

An amazing game and a titanic effort for a solo developer. It took me exactly 21 hour to get all of the Hex medals and other than maybe two levels being somewhat forgettable, the entire experience was amazing. I genuinely wonder what new project the dev will be working on. Also, I somewhat believe that the demo was almost TOO good and that it probably hurt the sales somewhat since personally I've spent so much time in the demo that I almost couldn't be bothered to buy the full game (which obviously would've been a huge mistake lmao). Great game, 10/10

Mixed feelings on this one. The raw movement and speed feels really, really good. When the level has a good flow, it definitely has the vibe of 'just one more run, i can get a better time', hence the positive review. Sadly sometimes the game decides to throw this flow out and locks you in chaotic quake-style arenas, which I personally just don't enjoy. A fair warning - the game is extremely frantic. If you're not used to fast movement shooters, or come from a more methodical speedrunning game like Neon White, it might be hard to adjust. I feel this the most in combat segments. A ton of constant reorienting yourself and snap aiming in those. Starting from chapter 2 the game starts to focus much more on combat than just raw movement. More and more levels start including seemingly unskippable combat arenas, and the general amount of enemy spam with projectiles getting shot at you at all times goes way up. For me much less enjoyable than the early levels.

I've been following the development of this game ever since Blargis released his first devlog. It's so satisfying to see a project actually come to completion. The game was amazing, for the small price tag of 20$ you get an amazing game!
