Overall A genuinely addictive and charming management game with a great core loop, but held back by very slow progression and questionable balancing. I had a lot of fun with it, but after many hours, the repetition and pacing issues become increasingly noticeable. Pros * Addictive drink-making and café management loop * Huge variety of recipes and ingredients * Fun NPC friendship system and discovering their favorite drinks * Seasonal ingredients make changing the menu actually interesting * Lots of systems to unlock: deliveries, night service, farming, fishing, etc. * Plenty of optimization for players who enjoy maximizing efficiency * Charming atmosphere and surprisingly easy to sink dozens of hours into Could be improved * Progression is far too slow. Major systems such as farming and fishing unlock so late that they can feel more like endgame content than systems that enrich the main progression. * Days become way too long and exhausting. Serving 70–100+ drinks while also handling deliveries, NPCs, restocking and night service becomes repetitive rather than challenging. * The economy feels too stingy compared with the amount of work required. Huge days don’t always feel sufficiently rewarding. * Some unlocks are unnecessarily expensive or have too many intermediate steps. * Several descriptions/tutorials are unclear or poorly translated, making it easy to waste a significant amount of money without understanding what you’re actually buying. * Some mechanics and secrets are far too obscure. Hidden content is fun; clicking around aimlessly because the game gives insufficient feedback isn’t. * More automation or late-game quality-of-life upgrades would make high-volume days much more enjoyable. Verdict A very good game underneath some frustrating balancing decisions. I clearly enjoy it or I wouldn’t have played it for so many hours, but it would be significantly better with faster progression, shorter days and clearer explanations.
Honestly, I can understand the bad reviews and its reasoning for it. However, personally I quite enjoy this game because I like sim games and its repetitiveness. I play single player and after a few hours of gameplay, I have over 100k and is level 100+. It does get grindy in the beginning and yes, the game isn't as polished, but at least the devs continue to work on the game and provide updates/patches often. If you don't like repetitive grindy games, this game is NOT for you. If you enjoy the sheer simulation of making boba teas, then you will enjoy this game. IRL I like going to my local boba tea places and get boba tea, and this kind of satisfies my fantasy of opening up my own boba place. Call it what you want, but this is not a bad game for what it is.
This game is amazing. There was a tiny issue where after an update, everything was back in the parent language and as English speakers, my friends and I couldn't understand...so a friend sent feedback. Not even twenty minutes later a small update was sent through and the issue was fixed! We were so excited! That is truly amazing and shows that the creators of this game truly care about it greatly.
genuine review here, not one to get the in game cash! i actually enjoy the game, which says a lot since this isn't my typical game type (i bought it to play with my husband who loves games like this). it has translation issues + the achievements are in chinese, it has bugs, it's a bit unpolished in spots, and the cash thing was a bit scummy. still, i think the game has promise and is good for what you get. it's entertaining and fairly forgiving in gameplay. lots of recipes and even a map with NPCs (which is more than you see in similar games). i think it's worth $10 personally - other games are out there with half the amount of effort getting the same amount of money. keep in mind this game's freshly out, too, so things can improve as long as it's not abandoned. give it a shot!
I have played so many simulator games. Some good, some downright terrible. I am really enjoying this one. English localization needs some work though. A lot of the items are still not translated and some that were in English are now showing in Chinese. I did attempt to change the language setting just to see if it would fix it, but it has not. Beyond that though, I haven't run into anything game breaking and I really enjoy the recipes and the different activities. I'd like to be able to hire more staff to run the place as so far, it seems that you can only hire Fred. With all of the customers who come to the shop, there really isn't time to do the delivery portion without getting backed up. Anyway, as I said, it's a fun game.
