I only played the first mission thus far: Lots of potential! Pretty well playable for early access. A little clunky here and there. The tanks seem decent. The voice acting is subpar. repeating voice lines, obvious AI, could be better. But it's not too bothersome to me. Or it's straight up non-existent to where you need to read paragraphs of story, while engaging tanks, just to understand what it is you're supposed to do- The hit markers are confusing as hell. Got hit in my left side. Swing the camera around. Now the marker indicates front, tadaaa, dead.

Call to Arms: Panzer Elite looks promising but there is a lot to work on and it wasn't ready for a public release yet, not even for early access. The good: - The graphics is stunning. - The sound design is fantastic and a pleasure for the ears. - The environmental destruction is very good. - The atmosphere is perfect. The bad: - AI tanks are either extremely dumb or have aimbot and are capable of shooting you from kilometers away while their vision is obscured by some bushes. - AI likes to aim only at the center of mass. - AI infantry has no sense of self-preservation. - Ragdolls need to be reworked. - Physics need to be reworked. - Damage models need to be reworked. - Sights are terrible and need to be reworked, especially the fact that they are placed above the barrel. - While environmental destruction is great, it needs to be toned down. It takes nothing to destroy buildings, for example a Puma at 1km/h can destroy an entire house with the mere touch. - The stabilizer is so unnatural, you have to stop and wait for the cursor to shrink to shoot precisely. Tanks in this era don't have stabilizers at all and those few only worked at a certain speed but how this works in the game is extremely weird, I don't understand why the devs opted for this rather than making the gunner sight shake when the tank is moving/stopping. - Shells are poorly implemented, different types for different situations but all underperform. The ugly: - AI voices, they won't be permanent but they were completely avoidable anyway, being early access it would have been understandable to feature only subtitles without audio. - Poor optimization, as expected from UE5, the game suffers from this. If I had the chance, I would leave this review as neutral, but since steam only allows positive or negative ratings, I'm leaving a positive review in good faith and hoping the developers will address this issues since overall the game has great potential. As it stands for now, Call to Arms: Panzer Elite is yet another game released too early under the guise of being sold as early access. Currently it's not worth it and I recommend waiting until the game receives major updates and fixes.

The people complaining about the "AI voice" acting in this game clearly didn't read the disclaimer that pops up immediately when you first start the game, that states the AI voices are place holders until they get real voice actors later in the development process. This game is fun but is early access so it's missing some things and other things aren't finished. The sounds are great, the graphics and models are great, and the destructible environments are immersive. The combat is really fun and everything shows some serious potential. There's an announcement page where the devs can communicate their plans and they have posted some information already on whats next. This game is also developed by the same company that makes Gates Of Hell, one of the best and most well supported RTS games available. So I trust that they will constantly work to improve this game during the EA period, and that's enough for me to give them some money for support

THE GOOD: -this game has some real potential, and they are nailed the core of the game. tank fights are fun, combat is good, and the building destruction is better than battlefield. -the mix of arcade and realistic combat is nice and feels like a mix of war thunder and world of tanks, which i enjoy. -i like the UI, its a little uninspired and basic but works nicely and looks fine -nice graphics and okay audio THE BAD: -performance isnt great but its early access so i except it to improve -enemy infantry are kinda stupid and will just stare at you from behind cover and wait to get shot THE UGLY: -the voicelines are insanely bad (also all AI) and ruin the immersion but i just turned off the dialog and had a good time. -camera feels like its just in the wrong place and is awkward to work around

Really cool to play with a variety of tanks in missions. Perfect blend between realism and arcade. Still very early and some bugs, but it has a lot of potential.
