This is actually a really good game. The physics feel solid and remind me a little of drifting in Assetto Corsa. You have to use the clutch at times, brake properly, and find the right balance with the throttle. It's definitely different from the first game, which felt more arcade like. This one feels much more realistic and rewarding. I don't really understand all the negative comments. Good job, guys keep up the great work!

I feel like people don't understand what Early Access means, nor do they understand that this is NOT CX1, and will not feel like that game either. This feels SO much better if you understand how cars actually work, and understand how alignments make such a big difference in car feel. The AI needs some love when it comes to catching up to you as a lead driver. They like to cut the line, and do it so aggressively they crash into you, and shove you into a wall until you both DQ, very odd lol. Otherwise? Great game, great feel, I love how the customization works, etc. 7/10 So far UPDATE AFTER 1ST PATCH: The AI seem a lot more sorted now and no longer try to bash you off the track if you outrun them while leading lol. I've noticed some weird bugs, one of them being when adjusting your spacer or track width when tuning your wheels would snap out wide, and then go back again, so there was a lot of trial and effort to dial in fitment. Another sort of funny issue I've seen is when you swap to and from Arcade-like Assist to No Assist and back... you're in for a ride because physics break. Hold on tight lol. Anyway, maintaining the 7/10 for right now while some bugs persist, would love to see liveries start to come back soon, as well as carbon materials like what we had in CX1. Hopefully soon!

After 35 hours playtime, I would like to give an honest review, as someone who games daily, and has been an avid fan of racing games for 30 years. The Good: The Graphics on my mid-range pc are good, in fact, I can run most settings apart from smoke at high, and still achieve good fps (apart from in fuller lobbies. Then frames drop, but not to unplayable levels). The level of detail in the cars themselves is excellent, not just when pristine. I really like the damage system, and even though it isn't at BeamNG levels of destruction, it is way better than a lot of current offerings, and even though the cars aren't licensed, you can clearly tell what they are modelled after. Current rating 8/10 Cars. Now, I know this is a bit of thing. Why split the comuntity by only giving certain people access to all of the cars in the files? Personally, it dosent bother or affect me in any way (although I would've liked an RX7. I saw one or two last night in my lobby, and they looked sick. Also S14s, and what looked like a Stagea Wagon, as well as quite a few others. Again, I must stress it does not bother me, it just would've been nice for us all to test these vehicles. Happy with the selection we do have, and cannot wait for the new cars as they arrive. 8/10 Dealership. Not a review, just a bit confused on the time length for a refresh, and lack of buying brand New models. Other than that, now that its refreshing properly with all the cars in the pool, its solid. Selling cars we've put money and wins into should, however, go for more than they do. Gameplay and Physics. Feels pretty spot on once the cars are dialled in with tuning, using controller and zero assists. If anything, the car possibly feel a little floaty at times, but the general feel and physics are pretty good. Car collisions may need a bit more work though, although still decent enough. Gameplay is good, everything makes sense, in the way the championships work, and although there should be other ways of making money, the current ones work well enough. AI is better now, although possibly a little too consistent at times, but again could use more work. Very happy with the track selection, and surprised to see the Nordschleife in full, but in a very good way. I do think that there should possibly be difficulty levels, if only to make it a bit more accessible to more casual players. 8/10 Liveries. Ummmmmmm. They're in the preview video, but not in the game...? Seems an odd decision, but hopefully can be implemented quickly enough. I know the damage system will probably cause issues with them so its sensible to release without them until everything plays together nicely. 2/10 - 10/10 (provided theres no weird mirror glitching issues) Sound. All the engines sound decent except the 2JZ, it seems a bit quiet. Music selection is decent enough. 8/10 Overall. Currently, the games in a good space, but it could be so much better. More cars, tracks, maybe a championship editor, obviously optimising is needed, but as a core fundamental start, its pretty damn solid. 8/10

While reading this please note i NEVER write reviews. The physics team on this one killed it, cars have weight, tunes matter, tires pop, your car breaks. Im enjoying the new systems brought over from other games. Where gas mattered in carX street, Miles matter on your car, the higher the mileage, the easier it is for things to break. The cars FEEL like actual cars, they have weight, power, while writing this I have not tried with the assisted settings but holy moly these cars feel leaps and bounds better than any other game in the series. people are complaining they're dissapointed with this and that, however I feel it may be more of a skill gap that this game will require you to adapt to. I love the mileage systems, Love the cars and how they feel, love the new map system. My review is unfortunately not without cons. It's been a long wait for this game, and I mean LONG. I do wish optimization was a bit better, I have a high end rig and I'm maxing out at 30fps. Graphics could seriously use some work, IMO looks about on par (Ultra settings) with carX drift. a game that came out a while ago now. and last but not least my only major turn off is this store refreshing system that theyve added where instead of having a whole catalogue of vehicles available for you to buy right from the jump, you instead have to wait until the store Refreshes, and hope that you may be able to buy the car that you've been looking for. (Although a part of me feels like this can lead to some awesome collections featuring rare vehicles. and is similar to real life in the sense you have to hunt for the car you want. someone may have it but isnt selling it or you can't find it anywhere etc.) Still going to put some time into this, If you can edit reviews ill come edit mine once I get a hefty amount of hours. Final Verdict, a very solid 4.5/5

the game itself is really fun. but the economy is horrible and the ai drivers in career mode shove you off track and then you get dq'd for leaving the track. very annoying.
