Meh, it was some cheap fun, very limited but I got a few hours of enjoyment out of it. Nothing to write home to Mom about. Then the dev said "Hold my beer." and now we have a massive overhaul of the game. 10/10 would get the dev drunk again.

This game is rad! I have, for several years, wanted a good casino simulator. Now, that said, this game is certainly not my perfect ideal casino sim- however that image in my head would require a whole stinkin' tonne of money and a big team with a whole lot of time. DEV PLEASE rework your recent 'rebalance' on the odds of success on gambling for both my customers' win/loss ratio and my chance of winning with gambling my own money. If you use the gambling features in this game, you are ONLY going to lose money - haha just like real life - I get it okay, realism and yada yada. But listen, this isn't real life, it is a game. The balancing is very close, but just not quite there. It only needs tipped in the player's favor by a little bit, and only on some of the games. A great example is the Roulette table. IDK what the hell happened there, but the game tutorial literally requires you to purchase the Roulette table as your very first means of producing income. I had to reset my newest save 4 times before I could scrape enough money by sheer luck and selling the Roulette on obay to be able to buy a slot machine instead and make a steady but very slow income. I lost more than I made on the REQUIRED FIRST INCOME PRODUCER by a factor of 3 on average - I did the math. That is going to assassinate any new players, and generate some instant refunds. I've been watching this game develop for a couple years, and I'd hate to see it perish over some rebalancing issues that could be quickly and easily tweaked. I only stuck through it because I have played this game on multiple separate Steam accounts on different devices, prolly have a collective 35ish hours. I love the game! It's a simple and good time with a fun way to gamble some virtual money. Keep it up dev. I like your work, I'd be happy to change my review if some of the minor issues are addressed.

Fun game but not the best. I like it but it could be more in depth.

overall, I found this game to be a fun, quick one. the controls are simple, and the objective is to build a casino to your taste. where things can go sideways is if your casino isn't generating a sustainable amount of revenue. in my playthrough, I resolved this by limiting playing at the casino table across the street and pacing upgrades (i.e. only buying a few new slots and tables at one time, decorating with small items first before doing big wallpaper/floor redesigns). Since it took me only several hours to obtain all upgrades, I propose the game to make upgrading a bit more of a challenge... either that or add more activities. For instance, the player could challenge the casino across the street to see who can generate more revenue or customers. Perhaps they would see which casino has the nicest interior design. The reward could be money and maybe an exclusive upgrade such as a set of game tables, a bar, or even a slot machine deemed to be legendary within the game's realm.

It's fun and addicting but abandoned by developers which sucks because this genre is so hard to find games for surprisingly. I would totally pay full AAA price for a game like this that meets modern standards. After beating game edit: $10 is slightly steep for what you are getting unless you dont mind spending more than $1 an hour on a game which is most peoples standard these days. Pros: - you can gamble - fun early game - little competition in genre (sad but you won't find much better atm) Cons: - Mid and endgame are exactly the same and the transition is so fast compared to the early game. - Once you are in the end game there is actually nothing to do. - Lack of variety in decoration (AI slop for most of it) - Game can feel lazily slapped together for a lot of the content. - Zero replay ability. - Abandoned by developers Overall I'd give it a 6/10 simply because it was abandoned by the developers but you can definitely see the potential they left on the table.
