I've seen others play this game but it's a different experience when you play it yourself; I actually felt scared and even shouted a few times. When he chases you, it truly is scary. He could and will be around every corner

Awesome sweaty horror game. People complain about small inventory space, small floors and corridors, Aka Manto teleporting and being on the same floor as you at all times. Well, to that I say: holy skill issue. Whenever you have line of sight with Aka Manto, no matter how far away, your screen will have a glitch effect. Aka Manto has no collision, and his attacks aren't perfect. You can literally run straight through him, if timed right, and not get hit. Even if you do get hit, you have a million hp, and the game just feeds you heals left and right. And I'm not even talking about the fact that vents are everywhere and are literal safe spots. Also, nobody's talking about how the mask actually helps you. When you trigger the mask, Aka Manto is obligated to go to it, no matter what. So, if Aka Manto is blocking your path, and the mask is nearby, just trigger the mask and run around. Oh, i also forgot to mention, you are so much faster than Aka Manto. So, if you are really far from a vent, it doesn't matter since you will dust him anyways. Although, I do think there needs to be some sound cue or cooldown for his teleports. And yeah, you can't really know if he's behind a corner or not, so it's still very RNG based, especially if you are trying to get Escape Artist. Other than that, the game's still pretty fun, at least to me.

This is one of THE scariest games I’ve played in a very long time! Even tho I beat it like 4 times, it’s still difficult and scary! If you want a very horrifying and challenging experience, this the game!

Writing a review for every game in my steam library: Day #2 As a major horror fan, Aka Manto did have several scares and moments that left you hanging off your seat. But compared to other classics like Puppet Combo's Nun Massacre or Stay out of the House, this game gets tiresome to say the least. With Aka Manto's constant teleporting next to the player, the game can be very difficult and tedious when it comes to gathering the items necessary to escape. Nonetheless, this buggy game is definitely worth a playthrough! :D 6.9/10

When I first heard his footsteps behind me, I thought the game was joking. But no – Aka Manto doesn't let you breathe. Literally. This short but intense Japanese horror game really surprised me. The atmosphere is thick, the visuals boost the tension, and that feeling when you're running down the hallway and hear him behind you… no thanks. 🔪 What the game offers: + A tense chase that keeps you constantly on edge + Creepy atmosphere inspired by a Japanese urban legend + Short and intense length (30–60 minutes) + A challenge in the form of achievements & trading cards + A large school map you’ll learn to love and hate + Price matches the experience ❗ What might bother some: – Can feel a bit confusing on your first playthrough If you enjoy horror games that get straight to the point, this one definitely won’t leave you cold. Get ready for panic, confusion, and a solid shot of adrenaline. I’ve played it several times, and every time that moment hits—when you hear his footsteps—it gets me again. 🩸 Verdict: Short, intense, like a nightmare that won’t let go for a while. Highly recommended for any horror fan!
