It's a really fun idle/creature collector game, and the progression is definitely much less tedious than in many other games of the same genre. However , the achievement that requires you to complete 20,000 distractions is absolutely ridiculous. Achievements where you just have to do something repetitive and mind-numbing over and over again should honestly be banned altogether, and whoever decided to add this one should probably go see a specialist ...
Do you like Cats? Do you like them ot be round and fluffy? I've good news. Here you can have them! Chonkers is an idle game, that means you don't have a lot of ways to interact with the cats. You can only fill the bowl, play with cats (by holding rmb) or click distractions that float on screen. But it's nice to look at those cats. Be prepared for RNG though. Cats are randomized in packs you buy. So getting them all will take a while (just look at my hours in). Getting that last cat is torture.... at one point I had one room full of it to make sure it'll become chonker. General artstyle is good and most cats are well represented but the more exotic breeds, like Spynx or Lycoi just don't look like they do in real life. That's kinda sad though they are quite quniue. Oh I just need to warn you: this game has some room themes. I hate that part. If you could buy it for in game money - that's ok. But in here you either pray to RNG gods that they will drop for you after doing daily task, or just go and buy them on Steam Market.... That feature I hate dearly. All in all this is ultimate game for cat lover
I am a collector that love cats & idle games so naturally when I came across chonkers I'm intrigued and the game did not disappoint! It started off a bit slow but once you unlocked exotic cats things starts to get a lot of fun! The thrill of unlocking a space cat is so awesome!
