I LOVE this game and have only one complaint. Where is the DLC?? We’ve been waiting for so long to mess up delectable cookies and pizzas in vr. But besides that, the game is peak. You can do the story mode and make a 5 star restaurant, or go to sandbox mode and burn up the kitchen 👍. I feel that when the DLC is out that this game may be a more reasonable purchase. But for now, the decision is a bit more tuff to purchase the game.

I grabbed it just to check if "simulation" in VR can be really fun, and it really is. I didn't play the previous version and I feel like the amount of bugs in current may be too much for some of the players, but still, I had a nice time with cooking in VR.

For fuck sake this game was so good before the "enhanced" update. I bought this like 2-3 weeks before writing this and I was really enjoying it before enhanced came out. I thought to myself that this is gonna be so peak.... but to my horror my PC almost exploded (on the lowest setting btw). It was an unplayable lag-fest. Not to be mean to the devs, I love you devs, but they did NOT take optimizing it for weaker PCs into consideration. After that I decided to "downgrade" back to the older version and guess what. My maxed out save file got corrupted. So I have to get back 14 hours of progress. But now about the actual game (the older version). It is a very janky game but in a good way. A game I thought I wouldnt enjoy that much ended up being one of my favorite vr games. It has a appealing gameplay with varying levels of pressure on the player. One second you feel like you have all the time in the world to prepare stuff and the other like you need to finnish 5 recipes with half a minute remaining. Its a game that teaches about maintaining balance in a single chef kitchen which feels more like a psychologic experiment than a blue collar 9-5 gastro job. 9.6741/ 10 would light my whole kitchen on fire with the inextinguishable demonic flames of eternal torment and time consumption just because I dropped a small candle again.
