This is a really good game. It's also a very frustrating and tedious game It being that way is also a skill issue But getting better at the game so that you aren't annoyed is also the core gameplay loop And that's quite a questionable gameplay loop But I must stress that it's still really really good
About the game, it's tideously long, more than it probably should be, it's methodical. It claims to make you discover things, not in reality you are mad man, trying to hit every wall, untill you either gain enough prespective to really see things, or stumble unpon them without realization. It feels longer than life, it excites me by it's mysteries, but at the end of the day it spells out for you what you need to do, you just need to know on every door to see what you really need to win. At the end the only reason you stay is obsession. If you don't feel it, I would not recommend to buy
This is a game about discovery, about trial an error, about knowledge and madness. Instead of looking for straight awnsers you should read and take notes. Grab a notebook and keep track of what you find important, what impresses you, what you feel you need to remember. This game is hard and can be boring, but you are slowly improving and adding more to your little notebook as you explore this atonishing world of wonder. After being confused, excited, bored, enlightened, tired, energetic you will eventually find your way to a major victory where you will then have the biggest treasure you've been building towards all this time: A notebook with a bunch of nonsense that will make people pretend they do not know you and will probably put you in a watchlist.
It wasn't clicking, and then it clicked so hard that I started experiencing the Tetris Effect. This is a game that rewards patience, the logic of deduction, and a love of the grind. There's not a lot that's intuitive about the game, especially if you haven't played anything of its ilk before. However, past a point, there's absolutely no shame in going and finding a friend or a guide video to at least get you started. Despite what others might say, that's not something that's illegal to do. There have been times where I've gotten stuck and just Googled a thing rather than running my head into a brick wall, because that's no fun.
