So here's the thing, yes the game's got performance issues. But I just can't bring myself to dislike a game that was made purely because people saw this guy's animations and asked him to make a game about it. For a first time developer, you've got to keep that in perspective. The game's the definition of "hell yeah"
I'm not gonna say this game is good. There's jank, there's repetitive music, there's basic mobs that I wouldn't even describe as canon fodder, and the voice acting isn't even in the same zip code as decent. But after just that one sentence, I've already done too much thinking. I didn't get this game for polish, for story, for graphics. I didn't get this game to think, or to engage in deep lore or intricate gameplay mechanics. No, none of that. I got it because theres dinosaurs with swords. What other game allows you to play as a spinosaurus with a greatsword that is to it's body almost on par as Gut's greatsword is to his? That's right, none. What other game lets you bust out actual anime style moves as a frickin dinosaur with a frickin greatsword? Not a single one has the cahones. But this game does. That's why i got it, and that's why you should too. No complicated story, no several minute long cutscenes, no endless walking through a massive world. Just a beautiful blend of dinosaurs and swords
Been following this game since it was a concept. Don't change the difficulty. That's all I'm gonna say... The rush you get when you take these bosses down is solid. I beat the game in 10 hours. Yes its short, but considering its a game made by 1 person with this level of mechanics I will give credit where credit is due. It is fully worth the 20$ knowing the developer has put everything into it and from what it sounds like will be probably releasing additional content along the way. All the boss fights feel unique, are solid and the levels look amazing. Are there bugs, yep what game doesn't have them. The dev is actively fixing them though unlike some other games where you wait months for something to get fixed. I've played ds3 and elen ring and some of the fights are very much on par with those fights. So for anyone complaining about how hard the game is... Get gud kid cause I can't parry to save my life and I beat it. I look forward to this devs next project or the expansion to this one. Honestly would love if he took these concepts and did a multiplayer game like a zoids type game. The dev has all the basics covered. Anyways support the dev its worth it.
